Today morning had a word with the service engineer of Mahindra Pune P B Motors, he told that there is a new bike to be launched but till now its not confirmed but most probably its on October 2 ND. The first will be a 125 cc 13 Bhp and the other one is 300 cc naked style bike.

He could not give me more details of price and all but it will close to compete the R15.

But the most surprising thing i came to know is mahindra not sending the engineers for training on the new bike, but getting the sym engineers for the first 6 months and train engineers here.

Lets keep our fingers crossed

guys first thing is i am not against M&M i would be happy if any indian company comes up with good product. Second, all the comments in this thread are based on speculation

, so mine was too under the same shadow. M&M is new with regards to 2 wheeler industry not as a auto manufacturer. yes they are non-chinese but they make their products in china.

Lets hope we get a good pruduct from M&M

Twin cyclinder from MnM

I feel nothing can be said yet regarding Engine being malnourished or say it being unrefined....

Kinetic Automobiles was there in India for a long time and they did have a association with companies like Honda, Hyosung and SYM and during the same period things could have been in the pipeline for a twin-cylinder bike because if they are launching it this year its not something that happened after M&M took over becoz as i remember there were some products shown from Kinetic which were all performance based from another company which had a Italian backgroundthe 165cc moto-scooter Blaze was one from its line i guess...

Probably M&M speed things up in this performance motorcycle direction while the prev co. didnt and concentrated on Scooters which has been their brand identity ...

All we can do is test it out in real to see how much of a Performance bike is it, say in refinement,design,engineering,pricing etc etc to the present benchmarks in the market like the Ninja250....

its not a mhindra website..... its a group known as India Bikers....
mahindra has launched a promotion campaign for the new bikes and it is on the lines of mtv roadies..... its a 2 month thing fully paid with stipend for ground tasks organised by these people along with the ride...

 Ladakh in the North
 Mumbai in the West
 Guwahati in the East
 Kanyakumari in the South
Each team will have a support crew accompanying it. All four convoys will ultimately converge at the centre of India at Nagpur. 300cc Vs. 150cc!!!! M&M gone mad. I think it'll be Ninja Vs. M&M 300cc

i for once have at last convinced myself not to get anything unless i see a proper 600 say like the r6 etc. without the stupid import taxes.(dreaming it will happen sooner than later)

+1, unless the xylo and scorpio mated and gave birth to a pre mature-malnourished engine

engines engineering might have the ability, but then again if it were used, it would have made more sense (and more appeal) to shout and proclaim "designed" in italy, instead of tested at italy...

First bike with a made in china engine: May help in costs and time to reach the market, but then they have a whole new monster monkey of "cheap chinese" parts to get off their back! Not a good thing to have for a start up!

Commuter bike based on the boss platform means no sym engines either!

Duh! Who powered the engine for the concept bike? Doesnt mahindra have stake in a few more companies

the concept bike was designed by engines engineering.
