Highly optimistic and overrated.-No top speed claimed. But will be more than 150km/hr as per their Vice President with whom I had a personal chat
For a torquey 300cc single revving till 8.5K, though shall wait for ride reports but I have this feeling and hope not to be wrong.

Nitro did make some observations earlier and they were indeed very detailed but this design is exactly similar to Malaguti which did receive positive response. Though I guess that was only a prototype so Engines Engineering used their design here. So Mahindra did play it safe in terms of design. Pity we are simply unable to digest it.Originally posted by darkknight View PostHyper You are right & I am ready to be the guinea pig for this price bracket but give me a better looking machine man
given the fact that looks are subjective there's hardly any soul here who has liked the design
& it is also based on the fact that it is indeed designed wrongly for that matter.just see nitro's comment some pages back
design a sport make it look like one---design a naked ---or design a retro
just don't make a khicdi of all & that's what this looks like
so i m hoping that the actual production might just work out to be a little different

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

Do agree with you on the design part and as I said love it or loathe it is the case same as logan or maybe the bug eyed fazer , what I mean is these are just two products let them start selling the people will come to know how good is mahindra's svc network and how are their products. Mahindra on the other hand will understand the peoples demand expectations and then maybe something more sensible will follow.Originally posted by darkknight View PostHyper You are right & I am ready to be the guinea pig for this price bracket but give me a better looking machine man

When Yamaha migrated from the two strokers to the four strokes products like the libero fazer G5 never picked up so they understood the mass market and then look at the R15s and fazers today they are everywhere. Mahindra tried it their effort if they dont succeed it will be a loss and am sure they wont exit the 2 wheeler market after a failure or just 2 bikes they will improve. This is their first attempt let them breathe is all am saying !!!!!

Lets take the design discussion to Nitros thread, cause this one will fade soon....! This design is very much a confused one! I guess the deisgner were given a reference to make it looks like the Mahindra logo!!!
3 Distinct design issues:
1) The tank looks too small, thanks to the tapering as oour expert higlighted
2) The Radiator looks like a freaking bird house plonked in the bike!
3) The proportions are absurd! the Headlight like praful said looks like a dragon fly with a eye popping disorder!
So all in all, a pretty much vapourware of sorts... with nothing great known about the bike and if seeing is believing then I guess I will pass this one and wait for the KTM!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

They say its designed on track. So i am dead sure it will be a superb handler.
I wonder why they gave it "retro" styling? There are very few takers for "retro" looks and most of them would rather settle for a Bullet 500EFI .
They should have given it more sporty styling or atleast give fairing as a option. That tail looks bloody awesome though and the design flow is pure italian.
Anyways, I will wait for this bike to hit road. People used to say KArizma is ugly but there perception changed once they saw the bike in flesh. Same happened with P220, Hunk, ZMR, CBZ Xtreme and R15 .Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED....
i am waiting for the cevalo 125 model. but they launched the Stallio 125 with ordinary HH passion and glamor looks.
sad to say that i dont like that bike.but that 300cc MOJO is good looking one. onroad price will be 2 lakh+. but for that price its not a bad and we will not get any other premium bike at that price.sigpic

Looks totally out of place kind of real juvenile design might have worked 20 -30 years ago but now plain ugly, with all the hype of Italian inputs they should have at least borrowed a small Italian flair in this naked bike design, pulsar looks far superior in its naked design than this owl as someone here has mentioned not single area which one can like in this bike design.

Have been following this thread for couple of days now. Most of the members are thrashing Mahindra for the looks and price. Firstly the looks are not that bad except for the headlamp unit. I am damn sure we'll like the looks once the official xBhp photos are posted. Secondly, the pricing is a bit more than what expected. But it is justified when we consider the premium paid to Ducati, Pirelli etc.

Personally, I liked the looks. The tank, dual exhausts (their note ofcourse!), lovely alloys, inverted golden forks, ninja-copied tail lamp, but not the headlights.
And about 26Bhp, there is Joel with a 300cc engine
From variable Bhps to a constant 17.6 Bhp.
