I dont really find the price of MOJO that overpriced considering the amount of imported parts its got....if the MOJO is considered overpriced, shouldn't the R15 be considerd the same too?Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

'twas more of an unveiling than a launch actually.Originally posted by vinfreak View PostThis is the funniest thing about the launch..the bike was not ready to even fire up. If proto too isnt ready..why launch??
if it can perform well... then it's definitely worth the price tag.Originally posted by RanjithMN View PostI dont really find the price of MOJO that overpriced considering the amount of imported parts its got....if the MOJO is considered overpriced, shouldn't the R15 be considerd the same too?
the R15 has nothing more to prove..

You don't see too many Ninja's on road do Ya? ...Guess why??? Its Too Expensive!!! So there's the answer to the first part of your post. See I feel the Mahindra is in a category of its own and no its not a cruiser like Payeng mentioned it's more of a supermotard sort of like the ducati hypermotard...
And as for home made tires etc etc c'mon wouldn't You rather have imported tires on your ride? I mean the whole of india does it, replace the stock tires with imported ones...Mahindra's actually saving You that valuable 4k or so You'll be spending so You can buy Your girlfriend that expensive pair of shoes she's always wanted!!! :-D And Yes i agree it was only the prototype if it really was to be pitted against the Ninja 250r then they should have it up atleast to 30bhp...I mean thats what I'd like to think But you can;t have everything in Life right?
Cannot quite understand what your point is? Agreed that Mojo has got the goodies but I feel Mahindra has provided goodies just for goodies sake.
Why would you need USD forks on such a small displacement bike? Why do you need a Ducati EFI? Can't a Bosch or Delphi EFI suffice? Again Pirelli tires, I reckon the tires on the R15 and 220 are of very high quality.
And I have hardly come across people changing the tires on R15 and P220, so I don't know whom you are talking about.
The riding position is not like a super motard as mentioned by Payeng, its a mishmash of street/cruiser position.
The way it stands I can atleast understand why the Ninja cost 3L but I cannot for the life of me understand why the Mojo costs so much. I'd rather buy the Ninja anyday over the Mojo. All riders fall; some get back on, some don't, some can't...

@jamalkhan: chill. Based on his post, I do not think he intended to say Indians are cheap. May be he tried to say Indians prefer cheap.
However, the offerings which will make Mojo worth the money.
30 bhp, full fairing, clip-on's.. tadaa.. magic.. u'll find more people opting to buy!!
mainly the would be Ninja buyers

and that would bump up the MSRP past the Ninja 250R's.Originally posted by men_in_jean View PostHowever, the offerings which will make Mojo worth the money.

PS. this bike isn't going to take on the Ninja. it serves a different purpose.
Manufacturers around the world have tried. The N250R is untouchable.
besides... Mahindra hasn't even been able to start the bike themselves yet.
Lets wait till Jan.Last edited by xionite; 10-07-2010, 03:29 PM..

why so? you mean a full fairing and clip-on will cost 1 lac?Originally posted by xionite View Postand that would bump up the MSRP past the Ninja 250R's.
It is a 300c 4 valve engine, and there is definitely something wrong if it getting maxed out at 8500 rpm. A 2 valve Pulsar can do 9k RPM. If this can be sorted out, then I am sure the bike can surely extract 30 horses.
No-one/nothing is un-touchable, when a good competition emerges.MJ

LOL well I'll say one thing though You didn't look to comfortable on it...and Yeah You're right it's styled just like hypermotard NOT a Cruiser!!! just coz you sat on it in an awkward way doesn't brandish you the right to call it a cruiser man! The eliminator was a cruiser, look at the seat height and the overall design of it, why are mahindra testing a cruiser on track then??? Can you now see thru the fog??? SO Big deal if you sat on it...You're still off track with what it is. Only in India can we mix up a hypermptard design for a cruiser. I attached the ducati hypermotard pic just as a reference and you'll find thr handle bars, seat and tank are all similarly designed. So think twice before slinging your ignorant "Yeah Right" on this forum.Originally posted by payeng View PostLike the Ducati Hypermotard..?? Yeah right.
Remember I got the opportunity to check out its riding position.
Speed, it seems to me, provides the one genuinely modern pleasure.

That applies to you!Originally posted by joshzma225 View PostSo think twice before slinging your ignorant "Yeah Right" on this forum.
I'm seeing your attitude as I'm right and everyone else is wrong. There is a better way of discussion when you are posting on forum pages.

enough guys...now can we all continue to talk about the mahindra bikes here please !
A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)
