  • 5. Always make sure you have more than 4 liters of fuel all the time, lest you want the FI pump to damage the engine. The first thing you should do after getting delivery of the bike, is to tank up.
Could you please explain how we can know the exact quantity of fuel with the help of the bars.
Somewhere i read 5 litres, you have mentioned 4 litres. Is there a concept of "reserve fuel" in CBR.
Also does the last blinking bar mean the bike is in reserve or there is 4 litres remaining; i.e. time to fill it up ?
    Thanks

    • It was held in hotel mariott at SB road! and i met some senior officials at the launch function and i spoke to them (blasted) about the bike deliveries. The only reason that they gave was the Japan Earthquake for the delays in the deliveries!

To lead the market you need Solid Research Now that Honda has baked a New niche- made in India Cake called "250cc", now bajaj/KTM wants a piece of it, mee too strategy.

If they had enough foresight can you tell me What amount of research is required to make a 220 cc bike to a 250 cc bike

Ninja has managed to celebrate 1000 Bikes after so long while honda has managed to get 4000 bookings even before the bike arrived the showroom.
Now if bajaj wants a few scraps from it, they can have it in the name of so called "handling wala pulsar bike"
I want to know how often does one ride to work/liesure that honda shows in Ads and how often do you do wheelies and stoppies as what bajaj claims.

The decison is all upto you,
I believe that honda has had teething problems but there are here in the Indian market for a Big Bite.

Thats what I wanted to say and I got an infraction for that :P

That line also reminds me of Aamir Khan's Mahindra Stallio ad.

For me, this is a weekend bike, I dont use it for everyday office commute. So I dont care about mileage and all that. I top up every time I see only two bars in fuel level indicator. Actually, there is no reserve concept in this bike, its better you dont go below two bars in fuel level indicator.
Well, the thing is I dont know what is the real fuel indicator, i.e., how many bars mean how many litres of fuel, but I play safe and fill everytime it goes to two bars..

Mercedes vs SX4? Have u really been in any of them? Ur really comparing a cheap C segment sedan with German Car that costs nearly double the price?
Exactly my point and yes ive been in both.
But id like to know on what basis do we call it Cheap? is it the Quality? Features? etc
If so You're comparing a cheap Indian bike with the Japanese bikes that cost a bit more
But the fact always remains i.e., QUality>Quantity
THeres a Reason why Jap bikes have much higher resale values compared to the locals
                  Now lets cut the offtopics

Ontopic: Seat Cowls available yet? And does anyone have any clue about Yamaha's next?
Im in split minds about the CBR250R because i have a feeling Yammies will put out something more powerful to bridge the gap between the Ninja and the CBR250R

                  That just Blows!
So i will be able to use only 8 litres of the fuel at a stretch?
taking an average of 30kmpl that would mean i would have to refill every 240-250 kms or so.
If i have to ride the bike to Blore id have to fill her up twice!

I was not aware of that.............
Bajaj and Hero Honda ends up fetching best resale in the market.

TVS,Yamaha and Honda does at par.

                      1. The chain is well lubed/oiled. My bike's chain was not oiled(not enough I think).
                      2. Make sure there are no visible scratches on the fairings, esp when it comes to the bottom part of the fairings.
                      3. See that the mirror can be moved slightly, else if by chance, when you move through traffic, if the mirror is too tight, it can even damage the front fairing/cowling section.
                      4. I dont know if this was only me, but do check for instrumentation panel scratches.
                      5. Always make sure you have more than 4 liters of fuel all the time, lest you want the FI pump to damage the engine. The first thing you should do after getting delivery of the bike, is to tank up.
                      6. DO NOT WASH YOUR BIKE/WIPE DUST OFF with ordinary cloth. Make sure you buy micro-fibre cloth or chamois leather for wiping/washing/waxing. This bike is very very very prone to scratches.
                      7. Do buy a tank pad if possible, mostly the tank part which comes in contact with your inseam are very prone to scratches. For people in Bangalore, if you dont have time to buy online tank pads, I suggest you go for Keiti tank pads from Orion Motors. But do get it.
                      8. And at the time of delivery, do look for abnormal gaps in the fairings, it would most probably be because the layered fairings were not locked properly. Ask them to open it in front of you and fix it properly.
So, finally the reality has dawned upon your infatuated a**

Reserve fuel is 3.5 Liters which is when your last bar starts blinking. I am referring this information from the manual.

Wow.. some sweeping statements there, I guess next thing you are going to say is "how many people will try to catch their cap out of thunder storm??" hence many won't go for Karizma?? LOL.. come on, they are just tvc's.

People buy what they can afford.. CBR250 bookings just show the fact that more people are willing to part 1.5 lakh for a bike when compared to those who can part with 3 lakhs.
