That RED STD was mine :O My delivery was scheduled on May 28 and all of a sudden Dealer wanted it as his display bike! My papa went there and bashed him! He promised next lot is coming in 12 days! (Which I highly suspect)! Else I am going there and bash him on my own and pick up the display! And you are perfectly right! Erode has not more than 8 bookings max and as I can re-call, First booking was on around April only, Not even the Jan's

He said two bikes have been delivered till now wit one guy taking delivery at Nammakkal. The Display bike is flawless. I was tere for half hour... My dealer said there's a lot coming in a week for sure. So you will be lucky soon ,else pick the display one itself. Tat guy tere didnt even start the bike saying even they havent taken a test ride of the bike since the PDI was not done yet. All the best :-)That RED STD was mine :O My delivery was scheduled on May 28 and all of a sudden Dealer wanted it as his display bike! My papa went there and bashed him! Is there any irritating tone in those lines of the sales rep. I felt so.Originally posted by HH_HUNK View PostWell I booked on 17th Feb (Pretty Late).
The sales rep gives me the same reply everytime I go there, "Sir aapki CBR aane wali hogi tab hum aapko call karenge, aap tension mat lo sir, aapko aapki CBR miljaayegi!"
Same here in Kerala also but when he said to wait 20-25 days i said i will do but if you can't get me the bike atleast in the first week of July i am gonna cancel the booking and going for Ninja
. That made some difference i think

I just paid for mine!
Dear All,
I paid for my CBR today at Silicon Honda, RV Road, Bangalore. I am going to get the Red (non-ABS) bike on 9th or 10th June.
I have few questions to the fellow members:
1. The dealer said the bike did not come with saree guard and it was an accessory. As it was not in their stock I was asked to buy it after some time.
Is he true that the saree guard is optional? Does the on-road price not include saree guard? My idea was that it was mandatred by regulation and RTO registration was not possible without it.
@Guys from Bangalore, you too did not get your saree guards?
2. The dealer had normal rexin seat covers at Rs.350/-. Anybody has an idea if we get mesh type seat cover for CBR anywhere in Bangalore?
3. I ordered for tThe teflon coating and they charged Rs.450/- but they said it was only one time coating. I had got 2-3 coatings in a year for my Unicorn before for the same price. Anybody opted for the teflon coating?
Thanks.

1. Saree Guard is not an accessory. It comes along with the bike. I still need to collect the Saree guard from them as I told them not to fit it when they are delivering the bike to me.
2. Try JC road.
3. I didn't opt for Teflon coating as I found it was of no use when they did it on my FZ. I know a guy who does this polishing work. But he charges more for polishing one bike (Rs: 650). He uses all 3M products. If there were around 2-3 bikes he will reduce the price. He does a very neat job. He almost took 2-3 hours for polishing my FZ.Yamaha Enticer: 2003 - SOLD

Saree guard comes with the bike. Its not an accessory. I have to pick up mine from the showroom as I too asked him not to fix it on my bike.

I have paid for the seat cover at silicon and will be getting it tomorrow or on saturday. AFAIK.. it is not the rexin one. It is the shiny black one.

Most of the dealers just wax the vehicle and call it a teflon coating. Dont go for it. For 450 Rs you can buy a box of good wax which will last longer.
Thanks.
Another quick update.. Sudeep got his red CBR today. Congrats Sudeep.

I will then demand the saree guard from the dealer
Also, I just talked to Ajaz and he explained Teflon was not an absolute necessity but it just gave protection against bird droppings (by reducing acidic formations on tne surface) and the plain water wash would give the surface good gloss without tne need for waxing. He said, Teflon works for first 30 washes.
But now, I feel, I rather cancel the Teflon coating and instead buy the seat covers.
Thanks to your opinions.
Congrats to Sudeep

Fate of test ride bikes as explained by the dealer.
Today, at Silicon Honda, when I made the payment for my CBR, I saw one red CBR displayed and learnt that it was a customer's bike. I questioned a staff why the tire was so muddy while other vehicles had clean and shiny tires, and if it was used for test rides.
The guy explained to me, "the mud sticks when the bike is unloaded from truck and pushed into the showroom on the ground (But it looked very much like it was ridden on the roads for quite soem distance). The other 'clean' bikes were polished on their tires. Regarding the test ride bikes, they are registered in tne showroom's name and are kept for 1 or 2 years with the showroom and subsequently disposed in the second hand market. Customers will always get fresh bikes".
Now, I do not know how true he was. But I also thought if it was possible at all to re-register the same bike in a customer's name that has been previously registered in the dealer's name. would it not be like a second hand registration? By this logic, should not the staff be true?
Any information please....

You should have seen my bike in the ware house..It was full of dust. Later they bring it to the service center, wash it and polish it.Originally posted by shivaprasad.ms View PostToday, at Silicon Honda, when I made the payment for my CBR, I saw one red CBR displayed and learnt that it was a customer's bike. Until you see the bike and give a OK, they won't register it. Once you say that bike is OK then only they get it registered.
In a second hand bike, the RC book will have the names of the previous owners and current owner.
What the staff was saying is true.
BTW congrats Sudeep.
