If anyone here has not tanked up yet... The petrol price hike has only been done in IOCL. HPCL and BPCL are still selling at old rates. Please use the info for your benefit.
P.S.: I filled up today in the morning @9.30 for the old price of 72.19 at BPCL CoCo. Not at the new price of 74ishAdvice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

it makes sense to fill up if we do very less mileage or have large a tank.Originally posted by antz.bin View PostIf anyone here has not tanked up yet... The petrol price hike has only been done in IOCL. HPCL and BPCL are still selling at old rates. Please use the info for your benefit.

dont get what people get by saving anywhere from 20-40rs in a tank full if their tank is in reserve.
The funny part is I see people filling in 1-3ltrs using price hike as an excuse. Anybody wants 6Rs?
Not to offend anyone but we waste alot more money else where than in a tank full on the eve of a price hike.
Regardless, Life shall go on.

we indians have to grow up. you will spend 2k on a jean which is really worth 500rs but not pay the exact price for petrol. :/Originally posted by Rony View PostStill 33% of xBhpians who voted feel that deregulating petrol prices was a fair step
the govt can help by reducing taxes/duties on petrol but it cant keep shielding everyone from economic realities. it needs money too na. dont talk about corruption blah blah. accept the realities.
The govt has better things to do like provide cheap food for the hungry than help us take out our girlfriend for a evening out. if you complain about petrol prices get a diesel bike or a 100cc bike or a electric bike.
posting in general.Regardless, Life shall go on.

) coz I hit reserve day before yesterday.. Anyways I make it a point to not fill petrol on the eve of a price hike... Too much time wasted, too little money saved/gained. And anyways, filling-up on the eve of a hike is a sure-shot recipe of getting Adulterated fuel.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.

Yep agree ! Only Car owners can make most profit in this situation, I have seen activa owners coming in and filling for 3ltrs , i mean Wt* ??Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postit makes sense to fill up if we do very less mileage or have large a tank.
Its nothing related to indians in particular. In general all are penny wise pound foolish.Originally posted by yellowspunk View Postwe indians have to grow up. you will spend 2k on a jean which is really worth 500rs but not pay the exact price for petrol. :/
IF you are spending 100Rs even 5 rs saved makes you happy. When spending 1lk for a laptop even if the next shop offers you for ~99k its the same for "many".
Its all in mind
I fill up for 1k usuallyOriginally posted by antz.bin View PostI only filled up (that too my regular quota of 200 bucks

AFAIK Deregularization is not yet implemented completely. What if Centre moved away from the issue?Originally posted by Rony View PostStill 33% of xBhpians who voted feel that deregulating petrol prices was a fair step
A big amount from this price still goes to the state governments!
