From what I am hearing, it seems like all adjustments in ECU, sprocketing etc. have been made only to suit the cosmetic changes like fatter tyre, swingarm etc.!
I will rest my comments till the bike is out.

P.S. Let us not get our hopes too high on the Hyosung. CBR disappointed.
    How did CBR disappoint?

    • Frame(chassis) of r15 is 8.5k not 20k and i dont think they will keep too much price diff between old and new one, even if they, do expect a 10 to 15percent bump max...
if one is considering only cosmetic mods it might not be as high as 40k
      here is my calculation
      frame 8.5k
      fairing 3 k
      swing arm around 3.5(not sure)
      Tyre 2k
seat 1k (wats the price of current one?)
tail light 1k (leds are not cheap)
give it 15 to 20 percent extra as safe margin and you are done with in 25k only for cosmetic mods
But selling your old one for a good deal and getting new one will be a wise move:-)

any news about new r15 being cheaper(there was a talk about this in some thread)?

oh, we forgot the megs there, that should add 5K and the ECU that's 8 K ... Again back to 40K

Coz the Indian version is not as capable as the Thai one. Read detuned, restricted&does not reach the expected topspeeds.
Read the thread, you will find unacceptable quality issues like paint chipping off after pressure wash, engine issues/seizures after 1st service&what not.
Certainly not what the bike was proclaimed to be.
Anyway I will stop now, this thread is for the new R15.
Looks like the cosmetic deficit has been made up for. Let's see how it performs!

              ECU ain't cosmetic buddy...

I'm eagerly waiting for the price and review of this bike...

              • Front indicators placement is too low. Overall satisfied, pillion seat doesnt have much space, we overweight Indians will look weird.

How much space you need? The fatties should stick to spendours. It's great that it's a proper 2 seater, maybe it will put off buyers who carry 3-6 people on bikes, which would be fantastic!
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Dont worry bro, I have Bullet 350 Standard. Lazy fat riders bike. I have Activa, Passion Pro, Bullet and P135LS at home. R15 will be great addition, time to sell HH PP, it serves no purpose atm.

                          • The only thing I pray to the almighty is that the QUALITY of version 2 should not get low.
The term "LOCALIZED" just scares me off.

The R series is known all across the world for its refinement and performance and according to me the version 1 has standed tough in all the parameters and got full marks.
Just want the same from V.2.

                            YES YAMAHA!!

First booking from arjun motors, most probably the first to book in mysore!

Having owned R15 and now owning CBR i think the above statement one off which every bike will have and there will always be issues in every one (I believe every bike has its imperfections, top most being its rider ) .

R15. Boy that bike is superb, cornering was the best.

CBR is more fun to me now i love how easily you can counter-steer in city traffic which was not so easy in the R15. Initial few days cornering was difficult, sometimes thought i was going to fall, now after getting used to weight difference(R15 and CBR) its simply beautiful. The tyre's are the culprits in the CBR got to get a better set.
Quality wise CBR is better IMO compared to R15.

Now just cant wait to see and ride the new R15 . Hopes its better than the previous in all sections.
