Because there is a limit to which the original 135 cc engine sourced from the S.E Asian performance Step thru model, the Jupiter MX 135 can be bored up.Originally posted by saipranav View PostOn the other hand, i dont understand why they are hesitating to increase the cc if they are ready to do so many internal changes... wont it be more sensible to keep the current R15 and release a 2xx with the 'expected' internal changes?...
Have been hearing that for sometime now.. it's rumored to be an air cooled 250 cc single for a more potent FZ.Originally posted by Durvesh View PostYamaha Is going to launch 250 cc is this news conformed? Any official source?

We are hearing about this "confirmed" 250 yamaha since 2006 ;-)
Just think, for launching a "Modified" R15 it took 1 yr to test the test mule. And now Yamaha will test and launch a fully new product (250cc) in just 2 months. Or may be they are testing it underground :-D

Not the 26 bhp, it was the 14k rpm that betters 650r's. Somebody has told the R15 redlining at that rpm. Sry for posting the bhp, rpm and 650 together..Originally posted by saipranav View Postdid anyone really say that?Last edited by Ivin; 08-23-2011, 11:20 PM.Ride, ride and ride.. For now i would refrain from making any sort of comments about the bike until it is launched.Originally posted by saipranav View Postnow wel will add some mirch masala and spread it

by the way, what kind of effect do you think these mods will have on the mileage of the bike?

For a bike that was tested for over 8 months in public view (& only Yamaha knows when the project for R15 2.0 actually began), it would be extremely unlikely that the bike would be any less than the R15 1.0.
I'm sure Yamaha will not dilute the brand value of the R-series.
6-Sep is exactly 2 weeks away, & we should wait & watch.
We have speculated enough since Dec-10, & should now just wait for the product's launch.
My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240
The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Some guys continue to amaze.
You folks want 250cc Motorcycle, you have two of them. (Of course more is never enough) Have more moolah, there are both 650R's to entice you.
Yamaha had already mentioned, that there won't be any bore bump and they shall launch a completely new Motorcycle when they feel so. Why no bore (displacement) bump? Reason is mentioned by Payeng. http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/160...tml#post690655
Hope none are expecting a 250cc quality Motorcycle from Yamaha at 1.2L.Last edited by sheelpriye; 08-24-2011, 12:51 AM.
