But still "categorizing" the T'bird into a current category of motorcycles (both national & international) is difficult.

Yes, there are fans of the T'bird.. infact after the T'bird was launched (in the early 2000's), it started to turn the fortunes of Royal Enfield which used to be an ailing company.Originally posted by surajit09 View Post

It depends .....Originally posted by payeng View PostBut still "categorizing" the T'bird into a current category of motorcycles (both national & international) is difficult.
Its a cruiser bike for sure, but with smaller engine if i may say so ...
It will be really heartening if this bike is being compared with the main stream bikes like Harley .
Like that none of the bikes in India can be categorized into any section .....
Ninja can be catagorised. But other than that the so called Indian bikes cannot be done ....
Like Pulsar 220 for example cannot be put into any category.
lets not get into things like that , but rather i may say only one thing , RE is just taking all the advantage of being in a segment with no competitors .. Thats really not acceptable ....______________________________________________________________

CLASSIC CRUISER or RETRO CRUISEROriginally posted by payeng View PostBut somehow the styling of the Thunderbird never appealed to me. To me the Thunderbird it is neither a true Cruiser (in the Harley Davidson mould) nor a classic/retro bike (like the Bullet/Classic) or a modern bike. The Thunderbird is a confused in its styling.
"Desi Cruiser"..??

btw, i always wanted a bullet thunderbird and now this 500 CC, too good.
only thing is i want it as my second bike, not my primary bike.

Wonder the reason for the delay
since it was announced at Auto Expo that by mid-year you can expect the launch.
What a disappointment since I am eagerly waiting for this bike to be launched and without a motorcycle

Bingo! Someone who has the same opinion!Originally posted by payeng View PostThe Classic 350/500 is authentic retro/classic styling and stay's true and honest to the classic British bike theme.. and that works like a charm for the Classic 350/500.
