Hope it follows soon. But what we need from Bajaj now is a fully faired sportsbike. I hope thats what the have in mind developing the 375.

hmm... thats exactly what i was thinking....what if bajaj decides to make a v max like power cruiser with the next gen avenger by fusing a perimeter like frame like that of the one on the 200ns and a 200- 300 cc powerful high torque engine similar in lines of that of the next gen liquid cooled units developed for ktm and pulsar but exclusively being tuned or developed as a cruiser (also super cool if the low slung cruiser mode is retained and even made lower.)i say it would be uber cool...for sort guys especially for guys like me he he...just my wild wish....

^^ thats a nice idea and will be called avenger-X...

but a 375 CC engine may be a bit too small for it.

he he... or may be... how about an A MAX....
Why do say that....just imagine a twin (vtwin triple spark) i really think bajaj should develop the avenger as a classic and power cruiser brand.just imagine a modernised avenger with a sporty muscular naked european styling combined with those lazy laid back classic cruiser lines all combined in a devilishly black colour combo.damn...man i am again day dreaming....

            Slightly off topic :P
But i wonder what will happen when fuel prices are going to hit something like 150 rupees+ will it be really feasible for manufacturers to spend on R&D and manufacturing of these high fuel consuming models?
Damn, the way fuel reserves are going low day by day... scares the shit out of me!

@Dman: well in that case, i will suggest that apart from all other design changes/improvements BAL increses the hieght of the bike to make is appeal to those ppl also who are not short heighted and improve the exhaust note significantly as the existing exhaust sound simply does not justify the bike.

but even if BAL decides to upgrade the avenger- it will take a lot of time as normally avenger is the last bike to get any updates ever and all new things are first given to pulsars.

@saipranav: that is what happened way back in time when hero honda introduced CD100, all the focus shifted to mileage and money saving but here we are in 2012 still craving for better bikes and more powerfull bikes. so the thirst will never die and there will always b a lot of ppl with enough money to afford the big bikes. big power and big mileage bike markets will exist parallely.

Exactly, faired bikes is where they lack right now. This post reminded me of a time when I used to dream about a Bajaj full faired bike. Here is its render:

Obviously, it was based on Ninja 250R. And it was made in 2008 or 09 I think.

In all, I believe that Bajaj are right now very capable of having a P200 FS or making this 350-375cc bike a sportsbike. But the first news showing the KTM 350cc bike just mentioned that it would be an offroader.

Atleast, the Pulsar depends on Bajaj, if not the Duke. And to focus that good chassis and suspension only to road usage, is just under-utilisation of the platform.

the cruiser scene is extremely bare at the moment. even a 'budget' avy around the 200 cc engine of the NS, suitably tuned would be a steal.
or even a slightly modified one with a 250 cc engine ?!

what other option we have ? maintenance hog RE's.

Locally Manufactured Twin Cylinder bikes from Bajaj would be a dream come true for people looking for big bikes.

I found this on internet. Very good editing on Photoshop. Mixed Bimota DB5R with P200NS.

Dear Bajaj, if you are listening, please have a look at this image. We would love something like this. It would be good if two sides of the fairing touched each other under the engine [i.e. full faired]
You have to pull customers from Yamaha and Honda. So it better be a very radical looking faired bike. Two angry eyes, etc.

I think we can have a vote about how we want the new bike?

In my opinion Bajaj dont even need to developa new platform. Add a fairing to the 200NS, price it around the 1L mark and it will sell like hot cakes. I think I might even sell of my R15. I wont mind trading off in the handling front for a 5bhp increase.
