We'll see when this thing shows up or if it remains vaporware. There's going to be a lot of people waiting for this one, even if it is just going to be 30 something bhp. (Lots of torque, anyone?)

One reason why people are anxious about something like this is that Bajaj tends to provide pretty good value for money. Likely a big pulsar would be the same.

Let's see what comes along. It would be good to see Bajaj rattle the market a bit and see what shakes out from the other brands.

I second that.lots of usable torque(plus big brakes) is what indian market needs.our infrastructure+safety levels not enough for supersports type speed yet.thank god bajaj is doing this.yamaha nd honda will need to rethink their strategies and fast.

I have been waiting for too long (almost 5 years now) for a suitable upgrade from the P220!

All my hopes are pinned on the bigger Duke/Pulsar if and whenever they come out. Till date none of the launches in my books have been a "proper" upgrade yet. Either its too expensive to maintain , or it doesn't offer the same capabilities or its just too small a jump in power!

Bring it ON Bajaj ... you have one ready customer waiting already!

Been "Bike-Less" for a good amount of time. Have almost made up my mind for the 200 NS/Duke... a 375 cc (with proportional power/torque) seems like a logical upgrade to my old P220 though.

Hope to see/hear something official about the next big Pulsar/Duke soon so that it becomes easier to make up my mind.

Sadly, my eagerness to own another bike from the Bajaj stable has been killed. They just comepletly choose to ignore old customers & thier products. I am not dissatisfied with my bike but hugely dissapointed with the service.

So, very sadly, no more Bajaj bikes for me

Bound to happen with a manufacturer which keeps innovating continuously and the products keep getting updated/refreshed.

And I am/was very happy for that!! I respected Bajaj for that! I have always advocated Bajaj bikes but recent instances has put deep sense of dissatisfaction. The dealer closed one of the PBK Service Centre which had amazing guys!! Last week I went to thier far off SVC centre & all the experienced mechanincs were busy with KTM & some novice did a servicing... sheer waste of my time & money. Where do Fi owners take thier bike to for srvicing??? Roadside mechanics??

Once a model is discontinued one can't expect getting amazing service, that is the case with all automobile manufacturers that I know about. And this is speaking from personal experience since I own two out of production vehicles.

Do you know any manufacturer who supports outdated models with the same level of enthusiasm as when the product was launched?

If ever Bajaj comes up with a 375cc bike, should be a supersport rather than touring. And why still a single and not twin? If Bajaj really want to step things up, they should give us a twin cylinder bike rather than a big displacement single. Aren't we all bored of riding single cylinder bikes and won't love an Indian company to give us that good quality twin supersport bike (who better than Bajaj)? This way it will be affordable for so many of us and we don't have to helplessly look at Kawasaki's & Honda's to get a decent twin cylinder bike. Atleast I am not ever going to buy a single cylinder bike with whatever CC (especially if anyone calls it a next gen supersport) anymore unless I need a city commuter(my CBZ classic does the job damn well) or a dirt bike (highly unlikely).

                          Power figures ?

After seeing the 200 twins, The projection of 30 -33 hp from a single from bajaj seems childish. 7- 10 BHP from .175 l more is even small by hero's standard.
If its a twin 45 Hp is what I am expecting. Down playing Pulsar / KTM to sell Ninja 300 is the only reason to trim the HP. And I don't think Bajaj will do that. So this one will become first choice for most 220 owners.

By the way there is no point in reboring to 250 and wasting time. Because after 2 years market will move away from 250.

What if that moto 3 motor is packaged in an eye candy package for us?

...do I need to say more? But Moto 3 is staying where it belongs and we are not getting it on road. What I want to say is that Bajaj (or any other Indian brand) should give us a twin supersport and make the most out of their alliance with KTM & Kawasaki. We so need an Indian bike manufacturer to take us to that next level. And when I say next level, I really mean next level. For decades we have been riding the singles whether Indian or Foreign and are at the breaking point of maturity. I just want an Indian bike to beat those cars on highway without breaking a sweat. Got my drift?

Don't be so sure bout it mate. Remember R15 V2 speculation thread? People set very high expectation of around 20-21 bhp, some even claiming to have got information directly from Yamaha Engineers.
Bajaj & Kawasaki are business partners, and Bajaj may not want to harm Ninja by placing KTM/Pulsar twins close to it in terms of hp/pricing in India.
Its better to be little pessimistic and get a pleasant surprise rather than being overly optimistic and being disappointed.
Yes, you are right in a way, that 175 cc more should give at-least more than 7-10 bhp, but who knows it may not be 375 cc when it comes out.
Its better to take these speculations with a spoon of salt.
Finally, lets not fret about power figures now and start calling names, we are all here and will see the actual numbers some day.

Have seen this phenomenon over the years: Just put a "Full Fairing" and the expectation from the bike goes sky high. Even if the motor is just 150 cc.

The speculation for the power figure of the R15 was 20-21 bhp right from the day it was shown at the 2008 Auto Expo.. Even seasoned auto journos (not just the laptop bikers) speculated 20-21 bhp.
