If 1.5l tag is true, the pulsar is gonna turn Indian streets into a racing arena!!!

375cc KTM engine is getting Ready in INDIA, but i believe bajaj is manufacturing these engines for KTM and expecting them in Pulsars is a Nightmare
          Looking at the way Pulsars grown up 135 - 150 - 180 - 200 - 220 ; ; So there is approximate 20cc difference between each bikes
          But a Long Jump from 220 to 375 ?

Bajaj will go step by step as a 250cc then a 300cc and then perhaps a 375
I'm not sure that Bajaj will do this sooner - and also taking out the 200 engine and installing a 375 engine in the same chassis of the NS??
Not sure about the strategy but 1.5 tag line is not gonna work, when a 250 kawasaki sells for 2.5lacks- expecting a 375cc for 1.5 lacks is not possible.

If it happens Product quality will go for a Toss - so if at all a 375cc pulsar will be available it will cost nearby 3lacks and not sooner than 2014

No body has any concrete info so far... all we have is some bits of old news and a lot speculation

I think its time to lock this thread till there is some positive news.

*Sigh* I'm so desparately waiting for some positive news!

The thing is that when Bajaj wants to put a new motorcycle in the market, especially a premium class, they consult some people. Usually the editors from Autocar,Zigwheels,Motoroids, etc are called and asked about their feedback. They are present on the advisory panel.

So we can trust only some of the big names in automotive journalism. Not the small time blogs. And it is true that the big Pulsar is coming soon. I was told that it will be very radical motorcycle for its type. Let's hope for the best.

Mr.Fire blade, are you also in my position waiting something that makes sense to jump to because the 220 still is difficult to replace? or are you going just make the big jump straight away to the blade

As my signature reads, nothing is as potent as the real thing. The real thing here implies the litre bike. So yes I will definitely want to have a Blade soon.

But with Bajaj I look at it with national pride. When I go outside India, i cannot brag about our Indian bikes. Nobody really gives a damn about our bikes. Save for P200 NS which is maybe our saving grace to some extent. So if Bajaj really come up with something that stands up to Kawasaki Ninja 250/300 in design and performance, i might give it a thought.

Following are the statements made by Rajiv Bajaj so i think its official now. The news was published in BSM.

“There are various platforms and a twin cylinder platform under consideration. Essentially we have agreed that almost all KTM motorcycles up to 400cc will be designed and developed in India. That is why the 375cc (Pulsar) is also being done,” adds Bajaj.

^^ But the question is when !!

They can even come out with the platform in 2015 for all we know. I am hoping that its Q1/Q2 2013 the new models hit the stores. I am not sure I personally would be able to wait any longer than that!

Edit: just re-read the article. Hope that when they say "early" 2013... they mean it!
