You see, this bump in capacity will authorize honda to charge more.

Expect a price hike from 1.80 to 2.20.
Well repsol painted 250R still costs 2.15lac here..

Actually, Honda announced that 5 new models would be unveiled at China. The first of their "FUN" series was the CBR300
They also confirmed that the 500R (and so probably the triplets) would be showcased and sold in China! That leaves one more "fun" machine..

There goes second hand value for crb250.

Another thing, ninja 300cc came right after CBR250 launch. Maybe now they need to start working on 350cc of ninja.

good move from honda but the pricing and value for money should be looked after by honda for better market share
if priced justifiedly can capture the market of duke 390 and ninja 300
with bigger powers comes bigger responsibilities

If India gets CBR300 as CBR250 's replacement then we might never get the 400 and 500

Btw the power figures are confirmed in the below mentioned blog as 31.23PS @ 8500rpm and torque at 26.48NM @ 7250rpm

ER6N is also going to come by next year I guess. So CBR400/500 will find it hard to sell even if priced at 1L less than the kawasakis. and Pricing these imported hondas at say 4L may not be feasible. With RC390 in the picture (though thsese machines are all of different kinds. In India it harly matters) Honda may not bring them here. May be the 'X' that will be a nice nice bike for India can attract some sensible riders even if priced higher than 4.5L

Probably Honda will give us the CBR 300 and then 5 more mopeds next year. I will prefer to be proven wrong.

looks uber cool. although looks cbr in front the rear seat looks a vfr? isn't it? not that I am complaining, India would prefer a VFM proven sports-tourer than a track machine.

Re: Honda CBR300R Revealed: xBhp News

All of a sudden, quarter-litre segment seems to be a thing a of the past with most companys looking to go towards 300cc route (KTM, Ninja, CBR, Triumph).

This new CBR looks much better than the old one. Looking at the handle-bars, seating position looks to be the same.

Now that people have spotted new CBR, Triumph etc., could somebody please spot new Yamaha R25 too? Or will that too be an R3?

As soon as it gets launched in India, I am getting my hands on that headlight assembly - Now this carries forward the 'proper' CBR family headlamps!!!!!

Just Hold on buddy.....I was about to decide between the Duke 390 and the CBR 250r when BAM! This comes up on XBHP!
I'd say just hold on.....The Triump 300/RC390/YAM R25 are also around the corner!

TO add fuel to fire, it seems the upcoming RC390 might be priced similar or even lower than the CBR300R! This is bound to confuse the hell out of prospective buyers for sure!

Also, let's not forget the Triumph 300 and the Pulsar 375 around the corner too!!
If available at a lower price point, they may prove irresistible!

With soooo much competition around, what is Yamaha doing?
I hope the R25/R30 doesn't miss the bandwagon!
