      A rendering of next-generation Yamaha YZF-R15has been circulating over the internet. Expected to be christened YZF-R15 Version 3.0 in line with Yamaha
      Yamaha's strategy of refreshing the YZF-R15 with new paint schemes every once in a while seems to have worked in its favour so far. Despite getting quite long in the tooth, the YZF-R15 Version 2.0 continues to return respectable sales number month after month. The YZ-R15S has turned out to be even more popular than the standard model, commanding a waiting period stretching from a couple of weeks to over a month is a major cities.
      Now though, the Indonesian media has been reporting that Yamaha is planning to introduce a major styling update for the YZF-R15. In markets like Indonesia and Thailand, the launch of KTM RC200Yamaha YZF-R15 Version 3.0 rendered - BikeWale News

        Well the update is due, but I highly doubt it will happen anytime soon.

                    Why they stick to 150 cc only? Why not a 200 or 250 cc Abs equipped Bike?

                      Coz when they planned for R25 we cried for 300 so yamaha gave us R3. After it was out people started crying again that it is very costly. God knows what people want. May be an R3 at a price of R15.... That is never happening....

                        The R25 was never meant for the Indian market rather it was developed for the Indonesian market because their Govt taxes anything above a 250cc engine heavily.

                        For example, bikes displacing in the range of 250-500 cc face a 60 % luxury tax. Those displacing above 500cc are hit even harder, with a 75% tax slap. Majority of the sales are thus occurring in the sub-250cc market.

                        Also I dont think anyone cried for the R3, infact most of us were surprised that India received the 300cc version.

                          Hahaha! Spot on! KTM's have spoilt us Indians All people here see is the CC's and the Price tag. R3 is a CKD and a twin, so naturally more engine parts to account for, no matter the displacement.

                                Seeing how these Japs are treating the Indian motorcycle market, ABS will come standard IF the V3 is launched after April 2017 otherwise they will keep milking the Indian customers with Non-ABS version until April 2018 if they launch the bike before April 2017. But if Yamaha is nothing like Honda, then we can expect great things from them
