You sure all this will cost only 5K? I think only the tyre alone will cost something to that tune and where in India do you get front disk ABS? If you somehow get some sort of kid from outside, how much do you think you are still going to save from that 5k to spend on the clip-ons and other goodies?Originally posted by csajal View PostI tell you buddy, in arround 5K Santanu can make his P180 so exciting that the even the new P180 would be put to shame and I'm not taking about some crapy faring and sticker jobs.... I'm taking about some serious mods....
Here's what he can do -
1) Adjustable Racer clip-on (I'm guessing the clip-ons on P220 and now P180 are not adjustable)
2) Adjustable Racer Clutch and Brake Livers
3) Steering Damper
4) Front Disk ABS
5) Michilen's 130 section soft compund tyres which goes as a direct fit without any mods in the swing arm.
I've not taken a test ride of the new P180 yet, but going by Payeng's words it has to be very much refined. As for the cosmetic changes, we can do a lot better our selves on the bike as the new UGIV, cosmetically though it wiped off the exclusivity off the P200, but I don't find them very exciting.

Bro, I agree that the tyres costs somewhere 5K and really in the budjet of 5K, the tyres are a misfit. Sorry for letting that go in over there (really jumbled the write up with my list which is on
)
As for the "where in India do you get front disk ABS?"!! just visit KRP's office website!! I'm pretty much sure that you'll be amazed.....!!

But really, in regards to the new P180 UGIV, it dosen't amazes me with looks. Very seriously looking forward for a test ride this weekend
I won't be betting my bucks just for the looks, it was so show some real muscles underneath it's muscular looks and going by Payeng, it's surely gonna be fun.

2009 Pulsar 180 - First Look - My Contribution
I know, I'm repeating something what Payeng has already done (He's always lightning fast when it comes to bikes
), but anyways here's my contribution -
Today I got a call from Krishna Bajaj Gurgaon, to have a look at their new stock of the 2009 Pulsar 180. I was invited to come in the morning, but couldn't go due to office timing. So, went there in the late evening when they were almost wrapping for the day. So, just took a few photographs and that's it!! Would be taking a detailed test ride over this weekend (hope those office buggers spare me this weekend
)
All in all I would say Bajaj is going for template designing.... taking the bigger machies as templates and applying it to the smaller ones as upgrades. Quite a wise move from cost saving perspective but it really killed the exclusivity of the bigger siblings. But hey.... I would say it's much much better than a simple sticker or a "Laal Salaam" paint job.
I'm really looking forward to the test ride comming week
