Hey what about the engine and gearbox of ug4 150? It was earlier said it is revamped and got more refinement and slick gear shifts.. Anybody?

i guess u can mod it into the new 180 or the 200 even...
I tell you buddy, in arround 5K Santanu can make his P180 so exciting that the even the new P180 would be put to shame and I'm not taking about some crapy faring and sticker jobs.... I'm taking about some serious mods....

Here's what he can do -

      1) Adjustable Racer clip-on (I'm guessing the clip-ons on P220 and now P180 are not adjustable)
      2) Adjustable Racer Clutch and Brake Livers
      3) Steering Damper
      4) Front Disk ABS
      5) Michilen's 130 section soft compund tyres which goes as a direct fit without any mods in the swing arm.

I've not taken a test ride of the new P180 yet, but going by Payeng's words it has to be very much refined. As for the cosmetic changes, we can do a lot better our selves on the bike as the new UGIV, cosmetically though it wiped off the exclusivity off the P200, but I don't find them very exciting.
Twist your wrist and feel the shift!!

      • Opps.. Sorry my mistake. Posted above the details of the 2009 P180 instead.

the updated details 2009 P150 UGIV over the P150 UGIII

        1) All Black Engine
        2) DC Lighting
        3) Tank Flaps
        4) Same Power output
        5) Almost no Price Change

and yes new Metallic Type Decals

Haven't taken the test ride of the P150 UGIV, so can't tell if the gear shifts have become slicker like that of the 2009 P180.

ya ur right iam not going to sell my p180 off just because theres is a new p180 in market....i would rather modify it..put on fatter tyres and and and fit a tank scoop...thts it...it will lokk like p180ug4..the things that diffrentiates mainly between p180ug3 and ug4 r tyres and tank scoops..

here are the changes of the 2009 Pulsar 180 UGIV

            1) Wider Rear Tyre- 120/80 x 17
            2) Fatter front forks - 37 mm (the P200 has 33 mm forks and the P180 UGIII had 31 mm forks)
            3) Clip on Handlebars
            4) Split Seats
            5) Wheel base increased to 1345 mm (same as the Pulsar 200)
            6) Half Chain cover
            7) Toe Only gear shifter
            8) Rear set footpegs
            9) DC Lighting
            10) Electric Start Only
            11) Increase in price by Rs. 3,000 over the P180 UGIII (that makes it costlier than the P150 by around Rs. 5,000)

Phew..!! that completes the new spec sheet I guess.
OMFG, add another 1bhp and you have a 200. How stupid. I thought they at least retained the wheelbase and tyre. How stupid? Cheap marketing gimmick.

              @cesar
I would suggest instead of making your bike look like the UGIV, surpass the UGIV.... so that when you have the fun on with your bike, you live it to the fullest!! Just a humble suggestion!!

              • Yesterday saw the new 180...

Its almost not possible to diffrentiate between the new p180 and current 200.....just going by the looks....!

Made the bike out and out VFM......

You get evry little feature of its bigger brothers at a cost lesser that 70k OTR pune....!

But Bajaj has to distinguish P200 from this bike else it would mis-mangle this bike and the BIG pulsars...!

Lets see what bajaj has in store for us with the BIG pulsars...!
