lets face it payeng. we all know how ajd goes overboard when it comes to bajaj. hh cbz was a long time back. maybe he has switched loyalties. the person who posted above also does not doubt the new 220. hell we all at the end of the day still love the pulsar deep down. time the 220 got some real spunk.

what we cannot digest is somebody like ajd who presents such a silly looking road test. just reading two pages and you start questioning the motive of the article. it was more like reading those 3 page feature advt articles.

anyways enough of ot now. i for one am looking forward to riding this new 220. there is something about the fact that when they say they have ripped away the fi and replacing it with good ol carbs it gets your heart racing.

bajaj has made a crucial move. time for the others to move their pieces.

Part II makes much more sense... lets keep it that way.

            • Pricing...

How does a buyer walking into Bajaj showroom feel about the pricing of three Pulsars, P150, P180 and P220 (dtsi). They are quite close, P220 pricing may well kill P180 ? P180 may affect P150 ? What say guys ? One member said that P180 doesn't feel VFM (after P220 was launched) ?

              • ^ There is an approx 10 k pricing difference amongst the three. So, That should make it.

Hopefully ! I just feel P220 may emerge a super seller, and P180 buyers may feel P220 very attractive.

180 owners/buyers will always think P220 as attractive.. (natural human need of "I WANT MORE")

                      when i was owning a 180.. i always dreamed of owning a 220..

Its more about targeting a certain section of the rival brands whose sales figures are quite good.

P220 sales never really took off, so currently this new 220 will most probably target the ZMA section of the pie.

P180 will target the FZ section of the pie, also the soon to be launched RTR180.

P150, well the rest of the crop.

Each bike is clearly defined in their roles now, with each looking distincly different from each other, so, IMHO, I do not think there is any confusion.

                          • @vm: I had to edit and delete the third image as that had some part of the text of the actual article, which would have surely violated the copyright thing. A magazine releases it's issues each month so that it's readers could buy one off the stand and THEN read it; not like this, online, for free!

The other two images are approved as these have no actual 'road test' text associated with it. Henceforth, please take care in what you post off the net, and please give due credit where it's required.

                            Thanks.

Thanks. There are no tracks around pune so my only chance to be on podium is to win Red Light GPs and P220 should be the best tool for the purpose
                              Hehe.. Way to go!

PS: You've been reading the thread more than once eh? :O

Heheheh! Anyway bro, lets not keep Joel from going overboard with his drinks. The guy get his hands greasy more than most blue collar guys I know, he deserves every pint in the world. We can always go out for a test ride and find out ourselves no?

Oh btw, as for the colour options, info I have is

Cocktail Wine Red stays Cocktail Wine Red

Long Beach Blue is Plasma Blue ( as a user already mentioned)

Whatever black it was previously is now Midnight Black

Silver is Metallic Silver ( wasn't it that already? not very sure about this )

Apologies in advance for any errors. Most of my brain cells ceased functioning all thanks to the excitement stirred by the 220 DTS-i.

Oh by the way, owners of 220 DTS-Fi s, has your steed been behaving really well in the light of the launch of the new 220? Of course its a silly thing to ask, but you know what I'm talking about right? The little details, how she/he/it rides, how she/he/it keeps to the line you intend to, how she/he/it growls and purrs and reminds you more than often that you are the owner of a machine thats amongst the best sounding in the country?

Its a known thing that any review of a Bajaj Product from his venture would always paint a rosy picture.

Before anyone says Varad who tested the bike is not biased, I know this very well but he aint the chief of the zig wheels
                                Right said!!

The mags will be in unison, they have a lot of ad moolah coming their way. Let the bike roll out of the showrooms and we'll have our statistics, the right way when the speedchecks will be done.

As far as the the speedo read is concerned from BI, I believe ZMA shows 140+ on the speedo sometimes already! So does many other bikes in the country. That cannot be accepted as the true speed. These Mags need to project the actual truth, not as how they choose to percieve it. Especially not paint a rosy picture of every bike they review. But it is their job to do so isnt it?

When Adil headed BI, CI and formerly OD it was even worse. But the company needs to build hype during its launches. These Auto-mags ensure it gets done. That's how things work.

Anyway i like the bike, it has a lot of goodies going for it! The pricing will make sure it cuts into the ZMA sales well enough this time around. Any idea if Test Rides are available?
