      • sometimes i think Xbhp is not a biker community but more a baccha biker community

i mean Y all the fuss about power when the said top speed is 135
cos seemingly thats all u complaining guys worry about

who cares about cornering ability, pick Up ???
anyone want to put question mark on ZMA handling ?/
i mean plain logic - 16.8 bhp gr8 pick up now FI + .8 bhp should me more pick up
additionally does more power means more pickup (if yes than what about quality engineering)

nobody complaint when P220 was degraded (and made cheaper) with more TOP SPEED and less Pick UP ( People (- bajaj loyal) immediately accepted happyly even when no change in looks, no monoshocks and some much talked crap)

lastly lets us wait and see how it looks in reality guys .....

Good one. Though the percentage is a bit exaggerated.

OT: My only hope for a proper multi cylinder (at least 30 bhp) 250 cc seems to the Ninja 250R. Hope I can afford one soon.

              Yeah, 90% would be appropriate.

No, I don't agree! How can you call Xbhp a baccha biker community?

Firstly, people aren't complaining about the Top Speed. They are complaining, because of the same old mill, and similar engine specs ... An upgrade to 250 or 300cc might have made it an even greater tourer. Their expectation was some 19-20 bhp...

Secondly, P220's degradation invited lots of criticism. See the P220 News thread then tell me.
Also, its acceleration was not less? Who said that? Only the 5th cog was re-geared AFAIK.
The fastest bike @ 70k does sound revolution to me, despite all facts...

Man please, relax. Let people discuss, its their opinion.

                • Disappointing! This is what a 6yrs upgrade looks like? It might have been somehow ok if it was, say a 1-2 yrs upgrade. But of course, this being India, knowledgeable bikers account for only like, 1% of the total consumers. So, HH rightly did not worry about satisfying this chunk of consumers.

Great going HH. I congratulate you on not bowing down to the pressure from this segment of consumers and giving in to their demands. This way you can shunt the growth of the performance segment and continue selling the latest Splendours and Passions. (Aren't those dies too old?) I also see that you have thrown a .5 bhp insult at them as a bonus! You do know how your loyal fans will go gaga at this increase and point to them the inherent power of the engine. And the general population will simply go mad at the "Hayachusa" fairing. How thoughtful of you to cater to the demands of the posers. And I know too how you will sneer at those pesky xBhpians a month down the line and say - "Didn't I say this was exactly what Indian bikers wanted". If by some freak chance, this bike does not generate sales as anticipated, you always can bring down the price by a couple of grands and slap on some garish colours (isn't pink the new black?) as a bonus. Isn't that the real reason for the price hike? Also, you have to gather the funds for that Hrithik Roshan dance show, oops ad? Sure, we understand. So, this bike can stay on for a couple of years more and destroy the well deserved reputation the original Zma has, just like you did with the original CBZ. Finally thing will come a full circle.

Ofcourse, this is all business. Who am I fooling? It is evident that HH just doesn't care about building a reputation in the performance segment. And the R15 suddenly looks much VFM! If not for anything else, thank you HH for just that.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

                  • Has HH officially announced the specs??...

I see that everyone is making a big fuzz about the specs which we don't even have from an official person, but from some guy who has taken the pics..

lets wait for the official specs.......

crashing the bike hurts the pocket big time now , especially, the fairing. i reckon it to be around 5-6k atleast.

                          • WTF??...what is this suppose to be-new ZMA or the bike made using spares from everywhere.Every single thing looks dispropotionate!..Look at that fairing even cyclewaalas in my city make better fairing for their cycles than this. Then, the rear which is simply taken from gladiator.Front trying to give impressions of like some shrinked Gixxer of older days.Cheap graphics and red shocks- shocks me no end..
Tell me who'd buy this for 91k (ex-showroom) when you've R15 for a few grands more???

Now the only thing which can keep this bike alive is its performance.Though the specs are not too exciting but before commenting have to wait till someone from Xbhp rips it.

I think this is going to be another Zen converted Estilo story...Like Maruti ended life of the most great car of the time same way HH has ended life of Zma...the old one was so much better!!..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!
