Dont forget the old Karizma was not worth how much HH was charging. So HH have been royally fleecing the customers by selling a under equipped machine for a long long time. Common even a 100cc bike nowadays has digital instrumentation and it took HH so long to add one, thus your justification of the increase in price is not justifiedOriginally posted by vipin_s View Post

My bad!..Originally posted by Aryan View Post@Shivank: NOWHERE in my post above did I say just blindly buy or approve what's being "thrown" at us, so called breed of premium bikers. What I am trying to say is, now that the looks have been beaten to death with since afternoon today, let us hope that ATLEAST the performance makes up for the looks! Also, an official spec-sheet from Hero Honda would really be good.
I got the picture now...
But if R15 with 17ps could blow competition away. Then why are we crying so loud of ZMA's spec not being too exciting?..may be power:weight ratio is troubling us!
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

i prefer analog too , the needle turns ur adrenalin like nothing , i can remember HH admitting they can come up with better technology but want to stick to the analog. so why they did it when they were thinking right!Originally posted by Puneet1 View PostAm i the only one who prefers analog tachos instead of the digital ones ?
wished HH had put a analog tacho on this bike otherwise console looks fabolous
wait ZMR can have much better use .. like u can swap clip-ons too .Originally posted by motorheadZMA View PostReally disappointed with the looks.now all im intrested is in upgrading the shockers on my bike to ZMR's if thats possible.

I still remember people did not like the looks of the Zma when it was launched, or even the 220 and the cbz xtreeme.Looks are subjective,
I am not sure how this bike will handle rough terrain when you tour - looks bulky.
it still has the age old mill which is good but HH could have worked on it .the .7 bump in BHP might be because of the FI kit as well.the bike will be heavier than the old Zma, so not sure what the Power to weight ratio will be.at least it has an FI kit and a rear disk brake (one wonder the price of the disk pad- 7k maybe.I hope HH has the old zma's sold as well.they can have the carb and the fi Zma,
The carb zma still sells like hot cakes because of it's pricing.want a good 200+ cc Indian bike - my choice is the 220- total VFM
P.S I own a ZMA r
The upgrades I wanted as a Zma owner was - same looks - don't touch something which is good.FI kit, rear disk brakes, tubeless tyres and a projector headlamp.
LED tail, clip on's black exhaust were not really important but enhances a product.Last edited by steveburnside2001; 09-20-2009, 01:27 AM.

What has HH done !!!
HH seriously get some NEW designers. Your old designers are running through the designer's block.....for the last few years. Stop mating your own HH bikes with other bikes and produce these kind of offsprings. In the pictures the bike look really bad. I wish it looks better in flesh. Baby Busa...huh....maroonga ghoonsa
Enna Rascalla. Mind it !!!

Guys, Aryan bhaiya is right. I think we should see it ourselves.
I seem to like the fairing. Only that Headlight seems like GS150R with less height...
I guess it will become a greater tourer, with original Karizma's strengths, Liquid cooling and Fi.
Personally, I would have preferred Stryker or CB300R's engine. We have seen quite a lot of CRF Engine, Haven't we?---

1. That's why it was big success, both P200 and P220 DTSFi failed inspite of having big features/more power/so called more VFM, blah-blahs etc etc !!Originally posted by BUSA@TEAM-BHP View Post1. 2. HH need not follow competition, b'cos they offer you long term bike with best reliability and quality...and most 100cc buyers people want a bike not chinese digital stuff..

That's something I was gonna quote! Cheers! ZMA/ZMA R owners, ***rock***Originally posted by Nio View Post+infinity
Another highly disappointing launch from the NOTORIOUS R&D of HH.. They could atleast have tweaked the product's perfomance even when they completely ruined the old Zma's beauty...
Old Zma owners rejoice.. Your bike will live long time as a legend

i agree wat u said abt the r15...many will no longer consider it expensive
Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostDisappointing! This is what a 6yrs upgrade looks like? It might have been somehow ok if it was, say a 1-2 yrs upgrade. Great going HH. I congratulate you on not bowing down to the pressure from this segment of consumers and giving in to their demands. This way you can shunt the growth of the performance segment and continue selling the latest Splendours and Passions. (Aren't those dies too old?) I also see that you have thrown a .5 bhp insult at them as a bonus! You do know how your loyal fans will go gaga at this increase and point to them the inherent power of the engine. And the general population will simply go mad at the "Hayachusa" fairing. How thoughtful of you to cater to the demands of the posers. And I know too how you will sneer at those pesky xBhpians a month down the line and say - "Didn't I say this was exactly what Indian bikers wanted". If by some freak chance, this bike does not generate sales as anticipated, you always can bring down the price by a couple of grands and slap on some garish colours (isn't pink the new black?) as a bonus. Isn't that the real reason for the price hike? Also, you have to gather the funds for that Hrithik Roshan dance show, oops ad? Sure, we understand. So, this bike can stay on for a couple of years more and destroy the well deserved reputation the original Zma has, just like you did with the original CBZ. Finally thing will come a full circle.
Ofcourse, this is all business. Who am I fooling? It is evident that HH just doesn't care about building a reputation in the performance segment. And the R15 suddenly looks much VFM! If not for anything else, thank you HH for just that.

Franky, don't you ever get bored of your fan boy stuffs? I mean there is a limit to how many times you can repeat the same stuffs over and over, isn't it?Originally posted by vipin_s View Post1.
