Oil cooler appears to be huge when compared to the ones on pulsars, or is it placed in different way?. It also has fins on the blocks. Larger cooler mean better cooling characterstics.

comon , our apache and a150 both r of the same breed. the pulsars hav common parts .The ZMR has parts copied from almost every bike, the front is stunnerish. headlight -GSR150,apache .Faring -hayabusa, tail-Xtreme. we should appreciate the console , the real time milage indicator (if it really works accurately)and the accurate speedo .*claps for HH*Originally posted by Saty View Post^^duh..even our apaches have borrowed parts from A150!!!
so dont complain on this front!!
I think I would reserve my comments untill I test ride it!!!
I am in sort of dilemma coz ppl complaining here are mostly apache owners and I am too but I ve owned Zma before!!
No OTs just sayin in friendly manner.

i personally feel bad coz they give it in pearl white colour coz i want my pearl white bike to stand out.
my choice wud be a ZMR white.i cant wait to see it in flesh

Nice write up RiazOriginally posted by riazmomin View Postmany of us this kind of habit where we tend to compare looks of the bike with another one. well that can be ones perspective how they differentiate a bike. In early days og GS150R, its was thrashed saying that the front fairing looks like pulsar ALSO!!!
We need to understand that comparing ZMR with R15 is not a wise thing to do if we consider their evolution, R15 is forced R1, where has ZMR has had its own identity, HH may not be good at designing the bike, but their bikes are no-nonsense for sure. Many commented on OUTDATED zma and also it looks, But for me its still the best looking bike only after R15 & CBZ Classic. Any how, I already stated on other thread, looks being subjective...reviewer must never mention their opinion about that. But india is democratic country, we can show our views, but cant try to force our view.
Most of them are commenting on the looks of fairing, but I havent seen a single person commenting on the functionality of the fairing. It has got vents in front, We can only make it out if they are completely functional for air flow on the the engine if we see the bike in flesh, or people like Ken who has physically seen the bike. Vents in front and vents near the console, they must be having some reason for to be there. Though I dont think HH has done any aerodynamic tests on the fairing, but atleast visor on the front fairing appears to be designed so that air drag can be reduces drastically when compared to other than non-windtunnel tested bikes. We can still make out from the pics, But love to Oldfox's review with practical usage of this bike. R15 gives tough time to P220 only because of the above elements even with its 17powered engine and light weight.
Mirrors: They appear to be foldable to me atleast from the pic, But do they vibrate at higher speeds, Bunny needs to answer this!!! They look to me edged, so when folded, they must push of the wind over the riders shoulder while coruching, but still let the professionals speak about it. front fairing is little wide, I wish HH might have kept it little less in width.
Tank appears to be not changed at all. Best part of is that they is not prblem with knee recess for tall riders, me being about 6ft, know the advantage and comfort of having it. So because of this un-changed tank, It appears that the side fairing does not gel into the overall look of the bike. But Again, I would like to know the functionality of it. Come on guys, Except R15, I dint find any bike with bikini fairing gelling into the bike (Read P220 & Adreno). The tough part for HH is how they will price the spares. ZMA pads already begin quite expensive, even the rear discbrake appears to be made by NISSIN as i can make out from the pics. Price of side fairing would play very very improtant role here.
Engine: There are no doubts that this is going to be excellent engine with PGMFI. The refinement levels must be exciting and smoothness must be pampering.
I am usually least botherd about what top speed it gains as I dont like to hear bikes screaming, Its not about how fast we go, its about how long we can sustain with out making engine screaming for mercy, for this I would blindly go for ZMR if considered. Major role would be the OIL COOLER, Would be interested to know how it works, If it works similar to the one on Pulsars, then would like to know what would be the difference between them.
Torque is what ZMA is knwn about. So i dont want to talk about it. I would not like to see the rpm reading near red, because that hurts me and same with the bike. As read in few reviews, ZMR does not appear to be paper tiger, So lets see how the bike performs under hands of xbhpians.
Tires, They are tubeless, But are they soft-compound? Any how I am happy to see the read disc which is great advantage for this bike considering its weight of 159kgs. No wonder this bike is not for non-muscular humans, but still I have seen very lean riders handling huge bikes with ease (read Valentino Rossi
). I would not keep criterian of going to himalaya's on bike while buying a certain bike. If R15 can handle very well on offroads, mountains and terrains, ZMR must be able to handle lot better under able hands.
No negaitve comments on console!!!
I wonder how many more posts this thread would have if there was analogue one.
Overall, I would say this was honest job from HH. Its not very very excited, but its not way a bike that to be ignored. I belive this is perfect upgrade from ZMA with all nessecary goodies that will lure a prospective buyer to keep this bike in the list. Pricing, Its less than what i expected. around 1lac on road from maker like HH for the features.
Dislikes:
35W headlights
Waiting for testride!!! I hope HH does not make it as R15 for test rides.

HH
I am totaly disoppointed with this launch
..was holding my p220 buy to see what HH have to offer.... now.. no confusion..my first choice P220 is the best for me

.
Guys pls notice that HH company or any XYZ company works for their profits and not for what 0.0000001% of all Indian would like to have.
So indirectly this shows what Indians want today( cos I am sure this bike will sell) , style, smoothness and comfort is above that thrill and the adrenalin rush
living in India: living with 'Indian Standards'

The rules are here: automotive research development, automotive standards
@ Aparajith , The Automotive Research Association of India ( ARAI ).. is an association.. anybody can make an association... in this case some xyz company must have done it. Associations work indirectly for benefit of there member company and hence this effects there suggestions (not rules, becase to make rules you have to be an AUTHORITY, not an association)
In ARAI case .. it can test and give certificates but cant make official rules( which only gov. of india can make), so any company is totaly free to not to take these suggestions.
How i know this? because I work in a steel association.

And it has to run FI + DC CDI. Use a more powerful lamp, you could be stranded on the road! Also, the batt is a puny 6aH unit!Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostDid anyone notice the power generated by the coil? its 200w+

But is'nt it powered by the battery...i meant the lighting and all other electricals......why does it need such a powerful alternator?Originally posted by abhijeet080808 View PostAnd it has to run FI + DC CDI. Cause of the FI and DC CDI!Originally posted by onlinesatish View PostBut is'nt it powered by the battery...i meant the lighting and all other electricals......why does it need such a powerful alternator?
The old bike had separate AC coil to run the AC CDI. So, no matter what the mods you would have done, at least the engine would run fine. Not this one!
