  • A12-hole design incorporates a central hole while two of the side holes are blocked, creating space for possible positioning of the spark-plug.
The 12-hole nozzle appears to have increased flow rate, at injection durations greater than 1ms, compared to the 6-hole one..

If anyone has more idea about this.. kindly share it..

-- NO, it's headlights do not resemble anything remotely similar to the Apache's or GSR's!!!
-- And NO, integrated indicators with tail light do not mean they are a Gladiator or an Xtreme's rip off. Even in pics, the tail looks completely different from others! It has it's identity. What kind of different tail light set-up is expected then? ....indicators up on sides like Mickey Mouse's ears??!!!

More power would have been good but I am sure that if this bike would have come with some 19-20 horses then the same group of guys would have wanted it to have more BHPs than the P220, that would've been a different cribbing altogether!!!

It doesn't seem that most people are interested to know what kind of a riding experience this bike is gonna bring...just 'cause the specs are similar as before! That's what it has been all about so far!

As someone rightly said, there are handful of bikes nowadays that can do 100+ easily but how many of them can hold on to it for longer durations with least engine stress possible and maintaining overall smoothness too? Not more than couple of them, right? and the appropriate answers would be ZMA and R15! Now this new Karizma FI is likely to do this and everything else better than the current ZMA, isn't that a wonderful thing?

Technical jargons have been discussed enough by the ones who care about them and further discussions can only be done when detailed reports are out! Till that time, let's discuss the good things now atlast, enough cribbing have been done already and I am afraid that people who are looking forward to buy this bike will slowly withdraw writing from this thread 'cause of the fear of being labelled a poser or the one-who-is-not-a-biker!!!!
Very well put down. This should stop all the meaning less cribbing now.

Here's what I've learned over time. More holes in the injector is supposed to improve atomization of the fuel coming out of the injector. It provides smaller droplets. This should improve the mileage by a little bit. However, since they are injecting the fuel against a closed inlet valve most of the time anyway, the heat of the valve would anyway vaporize the fuel before it is drawn into the cylinder.

PGMFI is definitely manifold injection. As far as I know there are currently no motorcycles that use direct injection technology. It's not even common in cars yet, plus it's expensive to implement, requiring much high injector pressures than manifold injection.

I guess it is manifold injection... since PGMFI tech. used this only..

Spare parts as always are costly as far as ZMA is cncerned.

PS :-Will see more of the PSI rating and the manifold injection.. ( i m in office rt now..so probably it will take some time to give u a clear picture of it )..
Can you please tell me the kind of injector present for R15 mill....thnx in advance

6 point fuel injector. manifold injection. No direct injection on low cost automobiles yet. Look out for something like a BMW if you want direct injection.

Info at the below link might help

Would love to see something as innovative as that!

Why discuss about things that have hardly changed? Everyone knows how good a ride the ZMA gives and with the FI it gives better and linear power delivery. People here understand that. That is not something new in a ZMA or a bad thing to start complaining about...

It is not as easy as coming up with full fairing. Major parts of the chassis needs changes and would need testing as if it is a completely new platform. For an established tourer, not needed (business POV).

                  • Now, I have a got a big question?

With full fairing, how the new ZMR behaves at high speeds in open places with high crosswinds? Was the bike wind-tunnel tested?

                      In most probability, NO.

Crosswinds are gonna bother the bike a little more now.
But, the added weight and possibly a little softer compound tyres on the ZMR (a wild guess) help here.

Not an expert in aerodunamics, but commonsense suggests that if an object is designed to pierce through air efficiently, it will have adverse effect on other areas such as crosswinds. Imagine throwing a disc in air. Any fully faired bikes has more surface for wind to act upon the side (crosswind). But from the front, wind can be efficiently channeled from tip to rear.

                        • Too much was expected. Looks are not so appealing...eye catching, atleast to me it appears more like the bikes which are sold in Thailand and Malaysia and other SE Asian markets. HH repeated its mistake once again, the failed experiments which were done to super successful old CBZ are still afresh. Orginal ZMA was a gem, so sober and stunning.

Looks more like a tough attempt from HH to counter the YZF R150. At 1 lac, it'll leave guessing the wannabees. Future will decide its fate.

If the bike is prone to more crosswinds, then it is very dangerous at higher speeds on highways. HH must have done something to counter the corsswinds, and it is my wild guess.

Agreed, expectation can sometimes play a big role, and looks are a matter of taste. But surely you must be aware that bikes sold in Thailand, Malaysia & other SE markets are not much different from India where 100 to 125 cc rules the road. In fact in those countries, they are having more options especially in Malaysia where motorsports is way ahead.
