I don't think it should cross 6L even if that is OTR price. People will shy away from it in that case. Don't forget, its not an inline 4,&moreover the overseas price is about 10K$, so I'm adding 50% to that price straightaway.
Sub 5.5L price tag OTR would make this bike sell to the target audience I feel.

+1 on Kawasaki taking to the 6xxs-7xxs segment. I've always hoped for a launch in this segment. Irrespective of what people feel about them being slow and low on power and technology, I think the speed and excitement they bring will do for me! The best I've owned so far is an RX135. And people like me can only dream about the R1's and the MT01s, I don't think I'll be able to afford them even if I hoard money on a savings scheme. On the other hand, a 650R for around 6 lacs, now that I might take a loan out on. Hopefully, other OEMs will follow with more products in this range, and maybe even aggressive pricing! Oh, and i almost forgot...Yo!

Yes, he is right about it, they are contemplating a foray into the market but they have been told in very clear terms, that with their current oddball styling
they will find it real hard to survive here.

PS: They might able to sell one R1200GS to Vivek sir.
