I just had my visit to yamaha factory outlet at wakdewadi punetoday morning and i inquired about the new R15 to which the sales fellow replied that earlier they were about to launch the 19 bhp R15 fat tyre and split seats but now they are waiting how the CBR is accepted in the market than they have plan to launch either the 21 bhp R15 or a bigger sibling, the looks will be derived mostly from the R6 including exhaust modifications also, they also told that with some modifications they may plonk a 250 cc engine in the current R15 frame.
so i guess its gonna be wait and watch game with yamaha playing their card at last.

To my eyes, the Ninja looks more "complete", there is more flow in the design of the Ninja!
The CBR looks good no doubt, but CBR owners better not park next to Ninja's
PS: Looks like the Ninja's are not only out running the CBR, but also looking better. Kawi India - BAL, are you listening?

I consistently get 25-27 kmpl when i am redlining in each gear and riding at over 140kmph.
With respect to FE both bikes would be on par, at the most a few kmpl difference. But FE on these bikes is not a major concern for the interested ones.
I liked the CBR from the front... if you only look at the headlight part. The headlight on the ninja looks dated.Originally posted by Praful View PostTo my eyes, the Ninja looks more "complete", there is more flow in the design of the Ninja!

But the side profile looks better on the ninja. Rear profile might be better on the CBR due to a wider tire.
P.S. Where was this pic clicked?ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

I picked the snaps from the CBRthai.com forumn, so it must be somewhere in Thailand.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostThe ninja delivers around 32-35 kmpl at the above speeds (below 120kph). Reportedly it can reach upto 40kmpl but my bike did deliver around 35kmpl during running-in periods.

Apologies to the original poster, I should have mentioned the source.

I find the gap between the headlamp and front mudguard through which one can see the forks and radiator fins to be really not up to the mark, on the contrary the Ninja looks more 'neat'.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostI liked the CBR from the front... if you only look at the headlight part. From the rear profile the difference in width of the tyres is barely apparent.
Grossly OT: Incase you find a guy from a Silver Palio flagging you down tomorrow, do pull over to say hi!

Hmmm... the CBR looks dis-proportional when compared to the ninja , it's got a huge front end and a skinny rear , the wider tyre doesn't seem to make a difference here ...
I can find some analogies to relate to (female anatomy) If you know what I mean ...
People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com
FZ16 headlight assembly with projector and angel eye for sale .
My first ever trip log ... http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/tourer/1...gh-clouds.html

MG has shared it on this thread-search for it.Originally posted by tibby View PostReally!? I guesses I missed it. Can you please share the official communication?
If it has been given out to dealers, why is it that members have quoted different prices from dealers on the CBR250R thread (link is in my above post)?
& btw, not everyone who buys/books the CBR250R (or any other bike/car for that matter) is on xBhp, or frequents forums online.
For most of them the showroom guys are the source of information. & who better than us to say that they are pretty much uninformed/ misinformed.
Have you booked your CBR250R?
All of the showrooms are quoting the same price. The uncertain about price thing you are talking about is during enquiry stage. Once the bookings officially started, all are quoting the same price.
The way you wrote that post was real rude buddy, this is Honda we are talking about, not some small company!
This sounds good! I am PMing you regarding this.Originally posted by shrinathrao View PostI just had my visit to yamaha factory outlet at wakdewadi punetoday morning and i inquired about the new R15 to which the sales fellow replied that earlier they were about to launch the 19 bhp R15 fat tyre and split seats but now they are waiting how the CBR is accepted in the market than they have plan to launch either the 21 bhp R15 or a bigger sibling, the looks will be derived mostly from the R6 including exhaust modifications also, they also told that with some modifications they may plonk a 250 cc engine in the current R15 frame.

@bprags: Very nice pics. I notice the same tyres on both the bikes, though like Praful said, the difference in width is hardly noticeable.Quench my thirst with gasoline!
