  • Guys.. please lets move on with the topic...

Prince.. .. Al was trying to just provide facts he has.. so lets give some credit to that.. atleast these facts are coming from owners of the machines ...

we respect everyone's opinion but please go back some posts and you will see why the hammering is being done... The bike has good and bad and i agree with it cos i own one...One main negative aspect is teh electrical systems..

Yeah,But 28PS.I guess it must be FI.
It looks to me,like the review is written hastily, without much testing. They should do a thorough review.
From the specs it does look like they have detuned the bike because ,I remember seeing the Australian spec bike which produces 29bhp at the same rpm.

Erm... you're right, we may have gone a bit overboard there.
Its about time we stopped with the sarcasm and played nice,..

              --

The intention was not to make fun, but I was expecting a MOD to step in and clean-up this thread - If the GT was cheaper (As in the same price point of the CBR-ABS) it is a good thing for many buyers, there's no arguing with that.

Certain things are wayyy too OT and its about time some of us quit brand bashing and actually post something useful for a potential buyer.

Most of us realize that as far as quality/design is concerned, GT is not in the same league as Honda or Ninja, we also realize that there are little chances Garware is NOT going to overprice the 250, like it did so with the 650. As long as this is pointed out with rational, sensible, fair and un-biased criticism, it is a welcome addition to the thread. Doing the direct opposite invites sarcasm.

Its nice to see this thread getting back on its feet and not going OT again, I just hope it stays that way.

yes me too, everything is known by this bike about its performance and quality, from this short review below are the positive feed backs
1.Engine is smoother than 650 and possibly compared to the older version also
                  2. Paint quality improved, and also lil build quality compared to old ones.

                  negetive:

                  1. i am disappointing with the tyres ..its shinko which are not too gud [based on the old model US version]

                      3rd high beam
                      4 th neutral
                      5th fi
                      6th turn indicator

The meter design is same.as 650 . But lacks a temp guage as the 250 doesn't have a thermostat nor a fan.

Do the Hyosung fairings come with built-in induction plates to bake the engine? lol. Now there's an experiment I would like to conduct.

I seriously doubt you even ride bikes coz If you are that sensitive to heat, you would be riding around in cars. I infer from your statement that you've never owned a GT250/R then?

It seems you have a highly acute perception of heat. Either that or the thermostat in my thighs is conked. Because while riding in choc-a-block Delhi traffic, I could never tell a difference in cooling between my faired GT250R (GT250 converted to R) and my naked one.
Alantris: I do not see your comparison logical. The GT250R in a way focused heat directly to my leg areas during my ride bcos fairing. I clearly mentioned, its my friends not mine. I did a 8+ hrs cross county ride and this was my experience. I would have preferred a liquid cooled model given the full fairing GT250 has. Given Chennai's heat, I feel we might have the same problem here too. Answering your other question, if you remove fairing, there is more area for the heat to dissipates and it does not have focused heat stream on your leg, this how most of us escape in naked bike, it has nothing to do with which engine produces more heat mate, its about dispersion of heat.

You have your opinion and I have mine. I replied to your comments with straight replies and did not ridicule you at a personal level! May be you are an expert, unlike me, still does that warrant those statements?

People who know me and my biking history (14+ years) know what little I know of biking, i do not think I need to justify my experience here. In a way you are right, I always feel like a kid infront of bike. FYI; I was the 2nd customer in Chennai to buy Comet250 and loved the bike T till I sold before moving away...

Take care buddy and respect fellow members, end of the day we all love bikes and we express our passion.

At least I do not think I bashed or anything. If Hyosung has given this I would have picked it, upto a tag of on road 3 lakhs. Those are my personal 2 reasons, why I am now contemplating btw CBR or Ninja. This is based on my riding needs and preferences.

It has everything else I wanted though...

This is exactly what a buyer needs to look at , And I wasnt pointing at a person.
Just was making it clear that Its high time this thread became informative than stretching pages like magazines with nothing in it.

I totally agree on the heating part ,iv mentioned that a zillion times , But at the end ,

This is the Same Case ..

Can't help much here, but, if you want to know what's CBR all about, go through post #7500, #7600 & #8100 on Honda CBR250R Ownership thread. You can have your mind set clearly as what you can expect from CBR 250R.

                              • Santa: Thanks for clarifying. You are bang on with the last sentence. But the GT250R was fun on the highways, it handle extremely well and was loads of fun. It would have been perfect if not for the 5 gears. Only the city rides are hard till you get really used to it. Also, one more thing is the ownership cost, hope i wont be 250 in a 650 body with 650 ownership cost

Thanks Aargee have been doing that for the past one week. Looks like its a perfect stop-gap bike till I get the Daytona and looking at the ownership cost can even retain it along with my other steeds.

Have picked my friend's CBR for a week, as it will help me understand it much better then just reading . Anyway, I am going to wait till the GT250R is launched, test ride it and then take a call. I still want to see the 2012 Indian version GT in flesh and feel it before I take the final call. just brings back the Comet days

Btw Aargee you might remember me as madbullram from the olden xBhp days . When i was in my medical haitus madbullram id got lost and mods where not able to retrieve it, hence the new avatar.
