No no I am not keen on doing such experiments. That was info stuff.
But well said sir, hats off for sharing such valuable info.

As for now I am happy riding my stock bike.

      Hi guys,

      Im new to this thread..
I like to tune my RX 135 4 speed (2004 model)
Im getting the average of 29 kmpl only.

As such you are getting wonderful mileage. Enjoy your ride. If you want more go get your self a HH Splendor.

since prices for rd's have sky rocketed, spares availability always an issue, this little beast with 18bhp looks nice, any ideas on price front for 4y2 block!!!

            hi all

            Hello,
i recently got a 2nd hand rx135.. though it had a great pick up it gave me a very bad mileage of ~20 kmpl.. So took it to mechanic, opened the engine and saw the bore was ported with large holes..
So I got a new original bore and a new silencer, new clutch plates, bike has become too smooth but mileage is still stuck at 25-28kmpl.. i ride it always with in 50 kmph.
Anyone can tel me how to improve fuel efficiency?

Can you share little bit of background about yourself? During the run-in period, you are supposed to ride =<50kmph. Usually when the bore is new, it would have tight clearance.. gradually you should be getting around 30's again, it also depends on the tuning of the bike. Don't expect Splendor mileage on RX.

Thanks, Will ride it as slow as possible for next couple of hundred kms
I got my "original" rx 135 bore from "black" market guy, who had stored to sell it for 18k/piece. mrp is around 8500, so its double the money.

                  Hi,
Iam planning to buy an RX 135 4 speed.I have a doubt in mind about the engine condition to be selected. Can sleeved bore perform like original and return the same fuel efficiency?
Also what are the things to be noted when examining the 135 to buy?How can I identify a 4TL00 bore? Also, what is the number of RXG bore?
                  ride safe...

Don't go for a sleeved bore bike it wont perform like original bore. And most of them don't sleeve to perfection. If you plan for RX bikes please don't look for FE.....

Sleeve job should be done by experienced hands to have a perfect seating. Also, nothing compared to original bore, may be you can go for next oversize.

4TL00 can be seen at the bottom left side etched of the cylinder when you sit on the bike. RX135 and RXG share same 4TL00.

We have already discussed your questions and more many times in the past, you'll need to do search and go through the discussion.

                            Littlebit Confused with rx100

Hello friends, from many days a question regarding rx100 is knocking in my mind.I have some queries about an 100. Q1-from which year rx100's was available with 12v electrical system, and how to identify them just by watching there appearance (i think stickers can say someting). Q2-I want to know about rx100 stickering pattern during it's production years, like when they were introduced with a certain sticker and how many years they were produced, are those stickers/tank available in Y.A.S.S(I know its hard work).so please rx gurus throw some light on the above queries.thanks in advance.

the first one with twin strips (80-early 90's)
                              then second (before 95)
the last one (last models with 12 V - i have this RX 100 it came with this stickering its 95 model)

but im sure yammi experts might have more knowledge here at XBHP

                                Q1 :- 1995 - 96
Q2:- As far as I know the initially RX rolled in India were having simple stickering - Twin thin gold lines on the tank and nothing on the side shields. There was another pattern introduced around 1992-3 (correct me if I'm wrong) had red and white stripes running across the tank on to the side shields.
When the 12v electricals were introduced i.e 1995-6 had the tank of thin line filled with multi-colored stipes near badge. Ok, take a look at the pics attached might be better than what I explain here. - I have not seen many bikes around with this this batch nor anyone restoring had gone for the same stickering.

Initial batch pattern (FYI..however, initially when launched did not have black color option)
