Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
The meter assy for rxz costs 1200-1300 rs. It includes the speedo, the tacho, pilot box and meter plate. The worm kit is around 400rs. Installation will have to be done at a local ledh shop.Originally posted by Shreyas Rane View PostSo what will be the price of a mechanical tacho for my rx100.........
and what will be the cost of getting it installed??????
if you have any idea.......... kb100
However, there is the issue of the ignition lock. You can get the lock for 600 and get it fixed in the 100 and you can have central lock.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
As Bibhu told, If you are getting plug and play LED its gud, then you dont ve to cut the wires. But when i enquired for this LED, they asked 120Rs for a single LED. This happened a while back. So I left that option and put T10 LED's in all modules like park light, indicators, pilot lamps, Tail lamp, Break light etc. Am happy with the setup as I get various colours of T10 LED's and In a single holder multiple led's. Since you are from Mumbai you can find a shop near Dahisar check naka on the service road, There is a Bikes scrap dealer also in the same building. Or you can check Asian motors at Boriwali. they also keep LED's.Originally posted by Shreyas Rane View PostThe rx100 CDI has a tacho out??????

Are these holders not available in Kerala or their shortage is all over India.............
Btw I have 2 led bulbs from my Tvs Wego......
I doubt that they are T10(the one you are talking about)....... I'll post a pic to confirm it with you.......
Thank you guys for your fast replies.........
If online support for these bikes is so fast and great why do people hesitate to buy 2strokes???????
I know that procuring parts is a difficult thing these days but are all great things are achieved without any hard work...... ???????
In kerala, Its hard to find. Checked so many 2 wheeler spare parts shop as well as Electronics shops in trivandrum and Kollam. No luck. Some people dint even heard about this holders. But when I enquired in Pune, the 1st tho wheeler shop has it in stock.
T10 Led's have just push type tail. Just google T10 led and you can see the pic. These are LED's used now a days in modern car dashboards and Bikes pilot lamps.
Procuring spare part for a 2 stroke is very hard except for RX100 & RX135. Since Yamaha produces spareparts for these bikes now also. Not sure about RXZ. Otherwise you also get aftermarket spares also for these bikes. But not in case of Suzuki 2 strokes or Kawasaki 2 strokes. Its rare to find.

In addition try to get a right side Engine cover of RXZ 4 speed as the worm kit will be just plug and play in this cover. Otherwise you ve to drill your Engine cover to seat the tacho worm kit which if not drilled properly might cause oil leakLast edited by vimalnair4u; 01-30-2014, 01:07 AM.Happy & Safe Riding to All

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
It wld be best as thats what i did. But its getting increasingly difficult to find rxz clutch cases these days. Any experienced ledh person can mod a normal rx cover. Just make sure that you put 2 iron sleeves where the worm sits. Or else once the case is drilled, the rotating worm would eat through the aluminium.Originally posted by vimalnair4u View PostAs Bibhu told, If you are getting plug and play LED its gud, then you dont ve to cut the wires. Plug and play led bulbs may be costly but they offer piece of mind as you dont have to splice the wiring a lot.
Yes. A L shaped bracket has to be arc welded to the t neck. But its a fairly simple job.Originally posted by rxdude View PostIsn't there a stop to be welded for the lock??

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
its not that simple the whole front end will have to come off so will the tank , then you will have to bring in a welder with his welding machine to the mech or you will have to take the frame to the welderOriginally posted by Bibhu View Post

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
We do it by just removing the forks.Originally posted by kb100 View Postits not that simple the whole front end will have to come off so will the tank , then you will have to bring in a welder with his welding machine to the mech or you will have to take the frame to the welder
No need to take off the t. Tank can be shrouded in cloth while doing it.
The bike has to be taken to a welding shop and the forks removed. Its not a difficilt job. Just a tedious one.
