Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
the paint you should go for should be the one that your painter can paint, forget about waterbased paints no roadside painter has the expertise ,skill or equipment to use it , best bet is to get your painters recommendation and proceed accordingly , as for brand ,one word dupont , expensive but worth itOriginally posted by er.parneet View PostKawasaki KB100/enduro/125 substitute parts list http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/508615-post105.html

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
All of the painters paint in the open air none of them know the importance of the paint booth and none of them have got the money to invest in a paint booth, even here in delhi i was not able to find a painter who is having paint booth, infact when i asked about the paint booth from one of very renouned painter he said what will the paint booth do, and he can deliver better job than a painter who uses paint booth.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
You can do it by yourself also if you have a steady hand, or else any painter will do it in a few minutes.Originally posted by er.parneet View PostCan any tell me friends that how i can paint the engine covers with the round circle line in black paint as in the original covers. Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
Hey Guys,
This is my first post in this forum.
I was worried if all RX 135 5speed smoke a lot? today night I experienced it and i'm shocked to see the (huge) smoke coming out of the Catalytic silencer.
I have used Yamalube oil in the oil tank and slight mixture with the petrol.
Do you guys experience the same in your 135 5speed?
If there any solution for it?
I know 2stroke smokes ... but any suggestions to reduce the same.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
Correct mix ratio of 2t oil to petrol is 20 to 25 ml to a litre of petrol, what kind of 2t oil you are using, use semi synthetic 2t oils, you can also use full synthetic 2t oils if you can get the oil but don't use fs oil via autolube pump just mix it with petrol from top.Originally posted by Phaneesh View PostHey Guys,

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
Thanks for the reply Kus.
But, is it okay to mix 40ml 2t oil (any sachet) which is available in the petrol bunks??
As mentioned, recently i've re-filled Yamalube 2t oil. But from next time i'll try to use Shell or Castrol semi synthetic 2t oil in the oil tank and also 20 - 25ml / ltr from the next fill.

If you are using correct mixture of 2t via 2t pump then there is absolutely no need to add sachet from the top, quality of the sachet is poor, adding sachet makes the 2t quantity more, near about 40 to 45 ml,and more 2t will lean the mixture, which will harm the engine, yamalube 2t is very good, iam also using the same 2t, you can go gor shell but don't go for castrol 2t.Last edited by kusmaker; 06-28-2014, 08:53 AM.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
When was the last time that the bikes silencer was cleaned ( thoroughly). Excessive 2T oil mix and short distance stop and go ride(less than 5kms) tends to gunk up the pipe and gives out mosquito killing smoke. Please adjust the oil pump correctly and avoid mixing 2 t oil with petrol and check for smoke again.Originally posted by Phaneesh View PostHey Guys,

IF your oil pump is working fine, avoid mixing additional oil to the petrol tank ( Unless you are doing very high speeds in hot temperatures and want to play safe). I have used many semi synthetic oils like shell 2T , Veedol 2T and Valvoline 2 T. Shell and Veedol are my pick, with Veedol being slightly cheaper at 110/- per 500 ml. Very little visible smoke and no rough engine idling. The satchets you get at the petrol bunk are to be used only in an emergency. I never like Bharat petroleums 2T. Avoid Castrol products as the market is flooded with many fakes outnumbering the real ones.Originally posted by Phaneesh View PostThanks for the reply Kus.

Re: Frequently Asked Questions (Yamaha RX Series)
Well, BP petrol bunks use Max 2T oil sachets, which is not advisable. Some times Autolube does not work, especially during long rides, so to be on safer side it is advisable to use mixing additional oil to the petrol tank. (I just heard this from the other experts like you on different forums). Any other suggestions? I guess this is sufficient for now.
