I am going to upgrade my existing 4 speed GB to 5 speed GB. I may opt for conversion kit method. I have listed following parts for conversion
        1. 4th Wheel(24T) and 5th wheel(22T) Gear
        2. Main Axle (12T) along with 2nd to 5th pinion Gear, plate washer and circlip.
        3. Shift Cam Assy.

Is there any difference between Shift cam assembly and shift cam shaft (part no 1M1.60.01.00) ? 5-speed GB has three fork which same with 4-speed GB. Will 5-speed case cover required for this conversion ?

By the way this is how my bike sounds with 3KA20 bore

Today i just went through the service manual of rxg...the factory says that the C CLIP ON JET NEEDLE should be place in the third position from top.In many cases, i have found that the mechs are positioning the clip on carb needle according to the performance requirement of customer.myself had an experience of low performance when the clip is placed on the recommended position.

i used to put the c clip on the 4th position from top.i think this adjustment will make the fuel mixture more rich...i think more information on this will be helpful for those who like to tune the carb themselve, based on their own style of riding.

The more down you move the clip the more the needle will be lifted there by giving the engine more fuel in mid range ..if it's more it flutters...clip on mid position is best with air screw 1 1/2 turns out from fully closed position . Once the engine and carb gets worn out it needs minor adjustment..that's all

                            Hi,

I have RX 135 4Speed. i am not getting 90/100 kit, so decided to rewind a coil.
can somebody let me know which gauge wire to be used and for how many turns?

i think, after rewinding, Regulator will also need to be replaced. which one would be better for brighter light?

Please let me know if i am missing anything here.

                            Thanks.

For electronic you can use a shogun or pulsar tacho. Connect the tacho to the ht coil pulse and you are in business.

Digital cdi is required for digital tachos that run on 12v dc power. Like the rtr and fz tacho.

                              I recomend the rxz tacho.

installing electronic tacho seems easier as i don't have much trust on ability of lathe guys to install rpm kit in 135 4speed casing.
can you please elaborate the procedure to install Pulsar tacho?

There is a DIY thread in this forum by one of our member. You can follow that. He also mentioned about the custom rectifier.
