  • the tyre says soft compound and its make is Dunlop, @ keerthy and psycho, thanx for the inputs guys, but wen i say thrash around corners i dont mean track days i mean street roads, anyway i know the new formula now and the r15 has proved it. I agree with you guys. No hassles advice taken and pondered upon, probably next change al give 3' a try, but u know wat they say once bitten twice shy, i ve done so many thousands of KMS on my 200 bending and laening in that i have a pre concieved notion taht the fatter the tyre helps me go lower, anyway, i guess this is subjective

    • well i got myself a dupsi piston from bombay, thanx to ameya ghande, got my engine ripped apart yesterday, to see the internals are not that ok, theres a prob with the con rod and clutch bell. Otherwise all the piston pin and all are fine, engine had seized and dats evident with the hone marks on the cylinder and piston. Iv gotten the original bore, piston(dupsi) rings, sprocketing and a spare suzuki engine that i found at the scrap yard to help me out with spares, the piston i got looks a lil iffy, but my mech says more tahn good to do the job, as far as clutch bell and basket and that damn con-rod, there should be a way to get it done at the lathe.

      • Hi Nikhil,

        Beena bit busy...
So my mech says if you are looking only for the Con - rod you should get it from local companies it seems, he has given me couple of names (MB and sanjay).

Did some research for you and here's what i could find.

        SICO - Sanjay Industrial Corporation
Microfine Auto Parts Pvt. Ltd. - Products

for the piston and rings i suggest you to go to your TVS dealer(showroom) and place an order. these parts have to be shiped from factory Hosur.

Do reply if i havent answered your queries. Peace out.

          Dude and all here,
Ive managed to get a Sico con-rod, my lathe works done, the clutch bell as i mentioned had play, so dissasembled it and got new bushes in it.Thats ok now, and my con rod had play, so instead of bolting in some wahers to elimanate it i went in for a new con rod only all together, all my stuff now sits with my Mech, assembly most probably today night and onroad maybe tomorrow will post pics and a small ride report soon. . .

@sat 06, as of now im not in need of any part as all my parts aare sourced, awaiting only assembly.

So if i do want em i will let u know, if only my tvs guys here were as help ful as yours. In the future if i need a part, ill get in touch with you and maybe u can get them sourced same way u got urs, coz here they arent as gud, u can courier me al forward u the cash.

                  • Shes done shes finally done.

My shaolin this morning at 12:05 am came to a steady life, purring away to a niceity. There were some problems though before it could idle on its own. After the first few kicks it was starting but revving incandescently. Gosh, here goes the new block piston i thought. After alot of carb setting and change of some cables (choke and throttle) the result was still a failure, for some reason the compression was coming out fine but not getting retained, finally we found out that the gap betwen the intake manifold was letting alot of AFR go out. Damn. So my mech opened the intake manifold and coustom made a gasket with some industrial oil filter paper. Voila problem solved, she sat at a healthy idle. Rode her home and got home at 12:45 in the night. I was so excited, as if i was wen i had bought my brand new p200, today iv brought her to work, thanx to the lord all is running in well, not exceeding 50kmph, but not maintining a constant throttle position also. Im really exited.

However there is still a little work left on it, like the calibration of the oil pump.

Good question, well for example wen we remove the cable from the pump to the carb and rev, oil is coming. But wen the pipe is attached, it doesnt push up the oil to the carb, yes we have also changed several pipes, to see if its nota pipe blockage. to no help, any suggestions racoon, coz my mechanic says you cannot repair an oil pump
