Thanx man, very bare without the stickers, everything in the looks department is kept stock except the tire is bumped up to 100/90 dunlop one, not cause of anything else, but i love to dip low into corners and out so i need that extra grip, was in 2 minds before i did the upsize but i needed that resassurance around sweepers

        • ^^^ Nikhil, for extra grip, you need to go for a thin soft compound tire. Not a fat one. Fat tire wont let you corner well, and more over, you are putting extra stress on the engine un necessarily. go for a 3" tire. It will be large enough. A 100 sounds too much.
Anyways, a good effort. Bike looks very good.

naa bro i had chckd out taht, dint like it too much, looked too thin, i suspected the 100/90 to be an overkill, but it looks really good, not that bulky n not that puny.

              • The fiero f1's chain sprock combo is 13 - 39, will be going for that, il be getting a local 14T sprock from local bike aprt dealer. For the benefit of the other lin builders, the fiero sprock is tough to find even though its a recent post 2000 bike, it costs 710/-rs

                      • ^^^ I mean you have put too big a tire on the rear wheel, and now you are going to add more stress to the engine by gearing it shorter. Isnt your stock sprockets 13/39?

                        Comment

                        • no stock is 14 39, n thats y i have said that al get a local front sproc to keep the gearing as it is. . .as for tyre, for me safety and confidence around corners is very important, i have open free roads that i can thrash my P200 on so just imagine wat al b doin with my lin, i live in Goa u see so ample of room for all this stuff, so tyre i dont really care about the upsize or watevr ppl have to say about it, but everything else on the bike is bone stock, u can be a lil less sarcastic next time.

And if u call 100/90 an overkill wat are you going to say bout those ppl who put even an 120/80 on their RX?

                          • got an OEM Fiero sprocket today, the last one in the 4 main TVS outlets in Goa. Ironocally i thot it wud b an old pack, but to my surprise its package date is as new as, 10/2009, and they told me at the spare part outlet that fiero spares are nearly extinct (in goa) so was preety amazed to see the pack month,

Its a 13 39 set up, i went to the local parts outlet and gota 14 front one, al post the pics later in the night, the cost of the Fiero kit came to 675 and the local 14T front sprock came to 40 bucks

                            • Never mind those silly guys please. You have a beautiful bike. Just try to keep it in as good a shape as possible.

FYI, fatter tires will not let you put your bikes into corners well. Thin tires do it. Fat tires just give too much rolling resistance. If you still cant believe that, please take you bike to the tracks and feel if first hand. On the track anything over 3.00 is considered to be too fat for our little two strokes. I would like to get a 2.75 rear for my gun. You are heading the wrong direction.

Dont trust the stickers on the packing. I bought a cyl for my gun some time back. The packing had plenty of stickers stuck on top of one another. Each one with a different date.

                              • Nikhil for your info most of the track set up bikes use 2.50 or 2.75 size max the key here is the quality of the rubber it's a soft compund not the size, on a staright line you will loose out on accelaration with 100/90, you will be affected with drop in mileage and power and overstress to your sprockets and chain.

The one which you have on your bike is a hard compound tyre, zapper q is soft compund and its easily available at your place so suggested you this, the ebst soft compound tyre is IRC.
