  • @Aargee - All the best.

Wish you could come for the weekend G2G if not for the ride, just for the glance of the 2010 edition

      Thanks @Bigbore, @Sri
I used to think, what's next after the steed hits the road? Say a big note of Thanks to everyone here; mention everyone's ID, describe how they've helped, just one or two lines. Wouldn't that be nice & make them feel happy?

Yes, certainly it will make them happy, no doubt about it. For the kind of help each one of you've contributed, be it the contribution of peanut size or mighty ocean, a help is still a help. But then, I'd this thought again - IS THAT ALL?

Yeah, is that all? So you say Thanks, go by your way & they go by their way, once in a while when the paths cross, you smile & remember the good deeds? Probably ask the mods to close this thread?

Well, I decided to do nothing. I'm keeping this thread open, let this thread remain as a window to share the relationship between me & my steed to the world.

Anyway a note of Thanks is definitely required; there're two people whom I cannot Thank enough, actually I'm stumbling for better words than appreciation & Thanks. I can vouch anywhere that, without the two of you, my Rx would've not hit the road today. Thank you so much - SriramEFunds & jd666.

Both you guys know what I was undergoing & to an extend what I was doing.

jd666 - When I started this thread, I started it as Need help in buying Rx100 cylinder & there were several PM's & one among them was from you. You'll not believe me, it took sometime for me to even believe what you spoke. I couldn't believe that there're such good people on earth. From what started as offering help lead eventually into a good friendship. I learned several things from you & I consider you as my mentor. Thanks Jaideep.

SriramEFunds - Life is full of surprises, you'll never know who would become your good friend & this is one classic example. When I first met Sri, I think at Cozy point, I still couldn't recall much from my memory on those. It is from our second meets at Bessy again, when we were denied getting on to beach, I remember your face very well. The point being, I couldn't even think that we would become well acquianted & to what it is today. Is that because of the numerous calls you made when I was hunting for parts? Is it because you accompanied with me to buy the parts? Is it because of the drive we made? Is it because of the TSG2G? I don't know, but I've a feeling that you almost have some share on my steed. There's lot more to say Sriram, but, words do no action. Thanks for being there with me.

psycho98 - I used to wonder why would someone call them psycho even if they were a psycho. Thanks for your valuable suggestions on the front suspension. The idea you gave me provoked several thoughts as how to approach on things, it bought in some confidence within me. To tell you one truth, when you offered help with a mech for the engine building, I was blown away. My respect to you'd gone double fold. I never expected such a call from you. Thanks Pradeep.

There're several people to whom I spoke with over the phone for momentary help like Sunil, Nitin & Atul.

PS - Guys, before asking me pics, I'm little supersticious, sorry but that's the way I'm - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/358334-post.html; I'm more than willing to ride down & show you than taking pics

EDIT - Forgot to state as why the post title says 100; I'm sure you would've guessed by now, yes, I clocked 100 at OMR today.

      • @Aargee :

If I were you might have as well got stuck with just one paragraph. Man, you are good at writing and no doubt about it.

We share common thoughts on some and that helped in strong bonding. I do not want to say any story here(as I'm bad when it comes to writing). You have become a good friend at our second meeting itself and subsequent meetings had made our friendship stronger.

Yeah, I realized that mistake this morning that the unit was getting very hot & I was checking it often on a simple 35 Kms ride. Later when I was parking, I realized I must've done this mistake of running in lean. Will do that when going back home & keep that posted.

                • Aagree: Pyscho is Right,Run the Bike Rich, thats very Important since almost all parts are new, also Keep Varying your RPM's While Riding.

Also Since the Parts new,you might tend to get a Smell which is similar to some Plastic or Polymer burning or heating, dont worry on that,it will go away soon.

                    Thanks for the tips;
I've been through 3-4 run in periods in last 13 years; as I've written in one of my earlier post, I get that smell of new motorcycle, just out of showroom. Yes, I'm varying the RPM's without crossing the speed limits.

Thanks again for your tips, I'll run it to rich from the existing.

                    • 200

Took out a spin on GQ today for about 70 Kms. Surprisingly the heat was very less compared to yesterday, I guess it was due to the city's stop & go traffic compared to GQ's smooth roads.

Today the gears were little smoother than yesterday, but sometimes I experienced the same problem of shifting down from 4-3-2-1, but it was much lesser compared to yesterday.

I was hearing some "tad tad" sound, not sure from where it's been coming, probably from the rear sprocket? Not sure though & I need to check.

Oh!!! yes, completed 200 today on SH55

                          • @Psycho - I hope its normal as it is in copper brown state, let me know otherwise. I've turned to anti-clock wise half a turn from full tight, hope what I've done is right or should I lessen the turn to make it more richer? Remember, this plug is also new one.

An update - This hard gear is happening only at almost stationary speeds, but if they're shifted down well in advance, I'm able to do it better, but not smooth though.

Finally done with electricals & fitting this battery today.

Aagree you are Running Rich, which is right setting for a Runin,anti-clock wise half a turn from full tight is right. you might flutter a bit if you are maxing out on gears, thats fine for now.
