I guess what YMI is creating a deficit of genuine parts in the market so when they finally let lose their parts in the market SHABAM! People are going to stock up on parts over and over to avoid the frustration in the future.

    1. Create deficit.
    2. Wait for people to get frustrated.
    3. Bump the prices a bit.
    4. Let the parts lose in the market.
    5. ????
    6. Profit!!!!!

They will wipe the supply parts off the face of the spare parts market this way as well.

Are you yet to get frustrated with YMI?

The point is, RX spares are already facing slow death if you haven't realized yet. What you see in the market are just fragments. There is no point making YMI to understand that someone or the other is rebuilding/restoring their loved machines. They are least bothered. Even if one thinking of rebuilding his machine, it is going to be very very tough.
It is only a dream that YMI will start supplying already deficit spares market.

      • friends considering the past bike experience like the RD,where people realised the value of this bike today this bike died because of high maintenance,no proper service center's,low knowledge about engine,no proper tools that time,no spares available,i think RX owners have taken a lesson from big daddy RD & have long time started storing enough spare's to make their bike run for another 15-20yrs or might be more even if tomorrow Co says no spares, discontinued and what all reasons oh these guys will surely smile and say who cares we have plenty to make our bikes run for a long timeeeeeeee

If anyone has info on the imported fibre clutch plates, interested in that too.

          Please PM details.

Isn't the same for both RX135 and RXZ? I thought both RX135 and RXZ share almost same spec and only adding another set of clutch and pressure plates when it comes to 5 speed. Sorry, for my poor knowledge on RXZ.

            • Guys I placed an order for my RX100 spares (cylinder head, main engine bearing a couple of other cosmetic add ons) with my YASS yesterday. I asked them about the RXZ spares and they said if you can provide us with the spare part numbers then we can get them for you they don't have the parts catalogue as of yet because this is a relatively new showroom (just 7-8 months old). Over the period of the last seven years 3 YMI showrooms opened up and went boinkers in my city due to tumbling sales. People don't like to buy yamaha due to s**t after market value imagine blowing 53 grand on a bike that's gonna sell for 15k in the market after 1 year or something it was up only recently that they started doing well all thanks to the YZf, fazer, r15. Anyways without further digression see if somebody can give me the part numbers who knows maybe they can hook us up?

yup, adding one extra of each. But iirc, there is one that is white in color with black friction pads as well.

Sriram, the RX135 4-Speed, 5-Speed & RX-Z all share the same clutch assembly units (RX-G had a different one). Infact here are some items which are common to these 3 bikes:
                          1. Clutch bell assembly (Includes the plates as well, they have no change w.r.t number of gears) with Primary drive & 2-T oil cog (Plastic wheel).
                          2. Oil Pump (Only latest RX135 4-Speed with round speedometer design has a different oil pump)
                          3. Crank Shaft assembly
                          4. Engine Bearings
                          5. Spark Plugs
As far as the Engine is concerned, both RX135 5-Speed & RX-Z 5-Speed share the same setup just like it is for RX135 4-Speed & RX-Z 4-Speed.

                          Hope this helps.

No difference in the clutch plates & friction plates between Rx135 4S & 5S; they're perfectly interchangable.
