  • Ok.. since theres no separate thread for performance and aftermarket parts for both RX and RD.. Im posting some pics here..

Keihin 30mm pwk flatslide [D slide] carbs for RX n RD. These are the best quality copies i have seen.

For those looking for bigger reeds on RX or RDs, O.E. Yamaha RZ fiber reeds with manifold made by ARS Japan. These are way better in quality than our Indian manifolds. The PWKs fit perfectly on these.

RD items--Panel fins, Block rubber dampers, Carb boots, Pilot lamp unit with wiring, Rubber tipped float pins to get rid of RDs frequent carb overflowing probs.

Dpak - Post your intro in Who are you section of this forum.

With regards to your bike. You're bit confusing here, if you want to know about the 5 speed case cover original or the bike itself 5 speed or not.

I'm not sure if the RC book does mentions if it is 4 or 5 speed. However, you can find out by two methods.

                  1. You ought to noticed whether it has one more to go or not from 4th gear
                  2. The left side bottom of the bore will have '4TL10 132 cm' etched. If it is there then 5 speed.

Let me know what you find.

Firstly, please dont draw any conclusion based on the Type of Bore kit or the number of gears. These mods are very easy to perform & even a 4-speeder can be converted in this fashion. A guy who has no or zero knowledge on RX135s will be taken for a ride.

Please open the RC & even the Insurance copy & check the Engine number & Chasis number & the vehicle description there & post it in the forum. Only by these details i will be able to confirm if this is the Original RX135 5-speed or a converted one. If you are hesitating to post the numbers in open forum, kindly send a PM as an alternative.

@JD & Sriram, both of you guys have mentioned only about the bore & not the bike in totality. The guy has clearly mentioned that the engine cases has been changed, so it is very much possible that the Bore+Head assembly also would have been changed. But it still remains the original RX135 5-speed. Hope things are clear now.

                      • A Humble request

@ All Senior Members, let us not encourage Spoon-Feeding here. Everyday we have a new guy joining the forum & without even going through all the threads in detail (I am sure all the answers are available in "2-Stroke Indian Bikes" thread and others too) they shoot their question in thread not concerned with the query. These guys dont have the patience to go through the threads & expect immediate answers.

Every now & then there is a guy coming up, either asking difference between RX100 & RX135 or some SHogun & Samurai. Just wasting everybody's time, resulting in infinte debate on which was better etc etc.

Lets stop this for the sake of 2-strokes. Let us spread knowledge in a way it should be.

@ All new joinees, kindly learn to develop independent reading/learning. Put your effort first, go through all the relevant threads/posts & even after that if you dont get any answers, then post the query in Public in appropriate forum.

I'm right now curious, whether he wanted to know if the bike when manufactured was originally 5 speed or what he bought in seconds doubts to be 5 speeder. It's been a year since he bought, I doubt if there is anything can be done even if he find the truth from RC book.

To my knowledge RC books holds good for the owners name, address & bike model, 4 or 5 speed it will not matter in case of seconds since there is always a chance to have some alterations made to the barrel/gears etc.So the buys will need to check the bike during the purchase.

I'll wait for him to get back with some RC /Insurance details and make his point.
