guys whats the rate of stock size chrome coated rims for the RX 135???? front and back!!! i changed it only a six months back...got rusted sooo soooon!!!! :X and any alternatives ??? like splendor rims ???

now a days since all bikes comes with alloys even yamaha dealer is getting rims from HH dealers. before fixing the spokes get the inside of the rim.s painted. after fixing the spokes give one more coat . ouside of the rim can be given a transparent polyurethene spray. this what i do everytime i change the rim

If you're talking about Chennai weather & rust, then you must be happy because my OE parts are rusting less than 6 months

Alternatives - CD 100 rims for front & Splendour/CD 100's for rear

Cost of chroming is more than cost of new ones

yea aargee!!! till now my bike was in chennai..so it got rusted very quickly, though i take care of it regularly!!! but i have another caliber whose oem rims are still brand new (if i wash it ) even after 10 years in chennai!!not even a spot of rust on it!! i am going to buy that brand of rims if it is still available!!!

speedo units -3 in no can be bought separately also!! ie only speedometer or only ignition console or only the indicator console!! some 5 months back the ignition console and indicator console alone cost about 200 i think (90+100)...try getting original speedometer at least ...it may cost high i hope!! some of the xbhp'ians can help you procure it!!original speedo is very rare to get!!! though there is a local brand called "JC" which sells all these RX consoles now!!!all you get in market is from this brand only!!

try its availability in YSS ..it may cost around some <250 i hope!! again try for original !!

You mean Caliber's? Hope its not 17 incher!!! Anyway, BAL's quality has come down these days unlike the old time which was better than the present time. However, still, it was still inferior in quality compared to Yamaha that was inferior to Hero Honda. So think twice before buying a rim from BAL.

oh!!..i thought rims are manufactures by some other company and that company in turn sold to bajaj!!!like automax selling to yamaha now!!anyway i 'l check the company of the rim in my caliber and will post it!!! also i'l enquire about the best quality rims available now and post it today!!!

You're perfectly right in your understanding Deepak, but what I'm trying to say is Caliber could be 18 incher manufactured by some vendor & supplied to BAL. But since Caliber is stopped AND IF BAL has stopped using 18 incher on all their models, they MIGHT've asked the same vendor to produce 17 incher.

But don't worry, if you fail on everything, CD100's & Splendor's rim WILL come to rescue for sure.

^^ caliber was 18inches. And try for OE yamaha rims only.. better than the rest.
