Yes. The previous Yamalube packing was manufactured by Exxon Oil I vaguely remember.

restoring rx-z head look!!

Hi fellas am new to x-bhp forums. Happy to see you guys helping out each other restoring. I recently got a rx-z 97 model. I have attached the pics too. I would like to restore the headlook back to stock. I tried to search for the mask vizer sppedometrs rpm meter but had to give up the hunt as i cudnt see any hope of gettin it. I am from coimbatore. Will it be better to go with the ybx or the original rx-z headlook???? If anyone has the parts plzzz PM!!!!

As far as I know, RXZ OE parts are almost extinct. You should be really lucky if you happen to get your hands on it.

Don't worry, our friend aalop13 has been giving us some hopes on getting RXZ parts several times. You may want to contact him & post us the progress of your work & the cost involved, so that it WILL help several other RXZ restorers. Sometimes, these are the best way to give back to the forum for all the help you get here

Yes correct, it was Exxon Mobil. Used to get Mobil 2-T oil also apart from Yamalube in Yamaha Showroom.

If you're talking about Chennai weather & rust, then you must be happy because my OE parts are rusting less than 6 months

Alternatives - CD 100 rims for front & Splendour/CD 100's for rear

Cost of chroming is more than cost of new ones

aargee can you check the name of the manufacturing company in the rims(since you got OEM) so that i can check whether the same company is supplying in CBE also??

Sry pal, the manufacturing company is not printed (IIRC, it will never be revealed); I only remember seeing CD100 on the rims. Just go get the CD100's rim from any of authorized HH.A.S.S & you'll be fine.
