Good stuff Karthik! are those Dykes rings? and i wanna know if you can tell me how to identify a fake ring set as i see lots of ring sets like those in the pic n i need to be sure before i can lay my hands on those.

About 2 years ago i purchased a cylinder piston kit of RX100 from a yamaha showroom of chandigarh, but only recently i opened it. One thing I noticed that in the pack following items were present-
(i)Cylinder
(ii) Piston
(iii) Piston rod wrapped in a paper on which Goetz was printed(Alongwith piston locks)
(iv)Piston rings
(v) Decarbonisation kit.
Now I am baffled to see that the print date on the main pack is 29/8/2009 and date printed on the decarbonisation kit which was inside the main pack is 05/10/2009.
CAN ANYONE THROW SOME LIGHT ON IT. As now i have started to think that i might have been cheated. Is it possible that even the showroom can cheat?

make sure it's a genuine piece lol chandigarh yamaha showroom is notorious for selling delhi made kits lol even chandigarhian's don't trust the showroom for RX series spares
