Thanks Karthik. Never knew my bike has won so many hearts out here...!Originally posted by karthikdattag View PostThe 1st para was a NEWS to me. Great info alok. And yes i agree on rest of the stuff you have mentioned.
To summarize, run a cat-con if you are reverting to factory settings (stock like Ram's 5-Speeder, damn thats one hotty), if going for a modified motor, then stay away from them.
A very good maintained cat-con exhaust (big one for sure, the smaller one looks shitty
) sure turns many heads around, especially for 5-speeders.
It is something especially with RX-Z 5-Speed, that the cat-con seems to be like a life partner (sukh-dukh ka saathi) & inseparable. This is the reason i dont like to buy an RX-Z 5-Speed as i can't run a stock machine. I am like that vampire who has tasted the blood of Humans, rabbit blood wont do any good to my thirst!!!!!!!!! Speaking of cat-cons is there any difference between the ones on the RXZ-5Speed. From the outside i can only figure out the difference in paint.
Recently a friend got a second hand RXZ 5speed restored but was not using it as he was looking for the RXZ-5Speed cat-con which he did not get with the bike.
Is it that its only a rumor that there is a difference or is it really true.
Am using a cat-con on the RX-100 and really like the low-end and mid-range on this. I just tried this as a one-time thing but haven't changed for a long time now.sigpic

Ram, she has stolen my heart. Can i have her please !!!!!!!Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostThanks Karthik. Never knew my bike has won so many hearts out here...!
Asif, there is no difference in Internals of Black Colour Cat-con (RX135 4-Speed & 5-Speed) & Gold Colour Cat-Con (RX-Z 5-Speed). Just ask your friend to get it re-painted to Gold Scheme & he is set to go. I feel even Black looks sooper hot on a Z.Originally posted by asif View PostSpeaking of cat-cons is there any difference between the ones on the RXZ-5Speed. Silly fool actually got one of the RXZ and did get it painted later. No idea how much he paid for it. Thanks both for the clarification.Originally posted by dual disc 200 View PostNothing at all as Karthik said & by my research. The rumors that surround the bike are simply amazing to listen at. Even newspapers these days in Bangalore give eye, ear, mouth opening "news" on the RX.sigpic

Kidneys...
Must be a little careful with you man....!

I was just asking kidney, not your heart (RX135). I am sure you can donate it !!!!!!! My RX-Z project is on hold because of your Kidney.
Yes, a stock RX-Z with following specs will sell over 70K or more for sure:Originally posted by sixspeedtwin View PostYes I heard that non-sense of "Special Edition" RXZs too was laughing my a** off for an hour.

- Cosmetically Good Looking (In Original Company colour)
- 5-Speed GB Intact
- 5-Speed Carb Intact
- 5-Speed Clutch & Magnet Covers Intact with RPM working
- 5-Speed Bore kit in 0.5 or 0.75mm size with 5-speed head
- Disc Brakes Intact
- Cat-Con Intact

Once i was quoted Rs.1,00,000/- for a mint Blue colour RX-Z 5-Speed in absolute stock (all 7 points covered with STD size 5-Speed Bore). That is when it made me thinking, why not buy all the parts & build a Masterpiece myself (not street legal, but just for fun rides).
A shagged RX-Z 4-Speed goes for 45K !!!!!!!!! I dont know, but people have this misconception that the RX-Z (esp. 5-speed one) came with some different super-charged Engine as compared to normal 135. I am fed up advicing people.

hey guys, didnt know wer to ask about this so am asking here.....just 15minutes back i was handed over my cousin's rx135 4 speed and man i've fallen in love with her immediately....but i have noticed that the bike takes quite some time to decelerate,
is this normal, this is my first 2stroker so dont hav much knowledge about it, i think the carb tuning is not right, how many turns should the air fuel screw be at from fully tightened??? the bike is completely stock

You need to do more than adjust the sir screw. Clean the carb insides nicely, see that the slide is moving up and down freely, put in new air filter, replace the plug, check the carb manifold- replace it if it has minute cracks or if its too old. Finally adjust the carb tuning and sir screw at 1-1/2 turns anticlockwise. Try these and report back.Originally posted by revvhard View Posthey guys, didnt know wer to ask about this so am asking here.....just 15minutes back i was handed over my cousin's rx135 4 speed and man i've fallen in love with her immediately....but i have noticed that the bike takes quite some time to decelerate,

the carb was cleaned, the oil was changed and also my brother got the oil pump checked to see if it functions....
the mechanic he got it done from is not that well knowledged about carb tuning and also the lack of a speedo and rpm meter console on the bike doesnt help.......
so should i tighten the air screw all the way in and then turn it 1-1/2 turns or from where it is now???
sry if i'm buggin you but i am clueless about two strokes and the only experience i have in carb tuning is on my friends apace with the help of the rpm meterLife should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow!
