On the RX carb there is a rubber O ring which comes in between the needle jet and main jet holder. Depending on how neatly a turner can replicate the jet holder for you can still use the same rubber O ring or if nor possible you have to find out a suitable tiny round washer gasket which can replace the rubber O ring for you.

          • Would anyone of us know of something like this.
I guess Yamaha India would have a few stored in their inventory as dead stock. If anyone is listening am ready to buy these at the price in was sold in the 80's.

Now there are people (including me) who will sell all their properties to own such a zero mile-munched machine straight out from covers .

                • Nitesh:- I'm able to get the Original Mahle Piston kit (STD) here in Chennai, however, those are not old stock but genuine kits from the authorized distributor for Mahle products apart from many in their belt. It costs about 600 bucks and that comes with rings, pins & circlips. The bore kit for RX100 bought comes with Goezte piston kit I'm not wrong. Would you advise to go for Mahle piston kit for my rebuild?

Cant say about the quality of new Mahle. Its was 'Escorts Mahle' earlier then 'Usha Mahle' and then dont know what happened to them. If they are Escorts-Mahle, go for them.

                      OK.

The one I saw, the box has Original 'Mahle Pistons' white and red combination box.

                        • Can anyone tell me what bike this is???
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a Ride!' -Hunter S. Thompson

It looks like a Yamaha RZ125LC or RD125LC but RD did not have scoop(1986)that hard to find..

it makes 20 hp @ 9500 rpm and can kick r15 and p220 even now..

In the last battle Yamaha lost it to Honda's Mighty NSR because yamaha made 20BHP but Honda Made 27.8bhp and more torque.

Yamaha RD 125LC YPVS vs Honda NSR 125F

                            • saw this bike today lying in the neighbouring society's parking, how much would it be worth??

and also is it possible to restore it??? the body does need some work but i'm hoping that the engine would be fairly restorable considering that two strokes do not die that easily...

That a rare and wonderful find, parts are very rare to find and will need to be imported, this also seems to have CBZ's headlight cowl,

The worth of this depends if the user knows what he is owning :-), if he is unaware, it can be negotiated dirt cheap
