      I thought you are reaching on 30th and have a spare day in hand. With this I guess the split in the group in eminent as you won't be able to start before afternoon/evening of 1st which means change in ride schedule. As I'm an outsider I will let others to speak now.

                In that case Bilaspur is a very near by target. I'll suggest (as Praful already mentioned), aim for Manali for the day. Doing it in 2 days, specially when you guys can start fresh and early from Delhi, to me is a waste of 1 day.
                MG already answered about why splitting it in 2 days..

                Also we thought of doing Manikaran too in between Delhi and Manali..

                +1 to MG..we already have a day extra i.e 31st to relax ... ideally which should include Bike servicing+rest.. And also if you wanna see around delhi..

                  Yes, its between Manali and Sarchu. The landmarks are Manali - Rohtang - Keylong - Jispa - Darcha - Patseo - Baralacha La - Bharatpur - Sarchu.

                  Ice route can also be visited and enjoyed in evening, last year coming back time we crossed the ice route around 6pm, it was dark by the time we were around Patseo.

                  If you want to do Baralacha La in morning / noon time (at most), you got to start from Keylong. Last year, we started from Delhi around 12pm and halted at Sunder nagar for night (some 460km's), as a result next day we were able to do Sunder nagar - Keylong comfortably. But then you guys want to visit Manikaran, so you can't follow that plan.

                  So another plan could be you do Manali - Darcha (a bit more relaxed ride, than Manali - Sarchu). Next day then you can do Darcha - Leh (but then slightly tougher than Sarchu - Leh but). But then I'll any day take riding to Leh in dark over riding to Sarchu in dark.

                    My Budget per day = Rs.500-800, but I agree with sh*tting part n being fresh. (Still I dont have any budget constraints)

                    Well, to be honest, I guess am the only one in the group who has the longest riding experience at one go (No sarcasm meant).
                    just in case if no one knows or remembers:
                    Max I'v ridden is 42 hrs Mt.Abu-Mumbai, with a one hour power nap, thats it, no casualties.
                    48 hrs, 2600kms, Mumbai-Chennai-Mumbai with around 5-6 hrs of sleep & rests.

                      This is NOT POSSIBLE, atleast for me. As we already had many discussions on dates, had finalized our dates a month back, so am sticking to the Original plan in the first post.
                      Am leaving on 30th may evening, taking a 5-6 hrs break in Udaipur or somewhere to get a nap & will be reaching Delhi on 1st morning only.
                      If you guys wanna carry with the new plan, no probs, I'll catch you guys in Leh directly

                        good idea, but i disagree with the list made. I'll prefer to divide in max 3 groups of 3 each, as it'll be very helpful in any emergency. 2 is unhappening. Group 1 or 2 will lead & 3 will tail. Lemme know what you guys think.

                        6) satyen has been appointed the "accounts manager" for the trip.. I.e everyone has to submit 1000 rupees to him once in delhi, manali, leh or as and when required. He would be maintaining the list of all expenses throughout the ride and all monetary matters are to be discussed with him.

                        As mg said, we'll divide the bill among all of us equally, no matter what one eats, drinks or fasts.


                        7) since, some group2 is coming by train..so group1 ppl have to buy petrol for group2 and meet them at railway station.
                        not possible. we'll be resting & servicing our bikes as we'll leave for chandigarh in the evening at sunset, its hardly 4 hrs ride.

                        Group 1 from riding from mumbai on 28th night:
                        1) inder
                        2) satyen
                        4) aman
                        5) alankar
                        6) motor
                        7) winzee

                        group 2 will meet in delhi directly:
                        1) vishwas
                        2) rudra

                        3) spiderweb will be riding solo to delhi & reach on 1st june early morning.

                        • I'v read all the posts by Nav, Kurt, Praful & it seems that in order to make it in less days you guys are pushing it too hard n fast.

                          As WE had finalized our dates & also had already planned things individually, long back, I dont see why a new plan was even needed. If there is some problem we can change or modify the plan on-route itself.

                          Am sticking to the old plan, rest we can modify on-route OR I will do Leh solo, no probs.

                              I wonder what would be the possible reason behind this? petrol in glass bottles is banned but in Pepsi bottles??? I wonder!!!

                              One more thing, am not very sure if the substance that the Pet bottles are made of, can withstand the deteriorating effect of Petrol. May please check before taking it!!

                                +100.. the best option, which I suggested in the begining too as we have experienced a leisured ride & witnessed the mountains, beauty & magnificient views in proper daylight.!!

                                Try to avoid riding in dark, Risk is one factor, but the most important IMO is please dont afford to miss the wonderful views what you will be riding from. 'Its not just a ride, its a journey' afterall to be remembered lifetime..!!
