Ok so, I've kinda decided to go with this route.
Bangalore-- Nelamangala--Tumkur--Gubbi--Tiptur--Arasikere--Kadur--Birur--Bhadravathi--Shimoga--Sagara--Jog--Honnavar--Murudeshwara.
Hope the weather doesn't play spoil sport. Just when i thought the monsoons have stopped, its been raining this whole week in bangalore. Never really done a ride during the rains before.

Hi guys,
How's the road condition after Belguam --> Ooty --> Kanyakumari. Never been to south before on my bike... planning to explore south this weekend. Pune to Ooty is around 950 kms, I want to cover it in a day. Depending upon the road conditions, will it be possible?sigpic

Dindigul-->Coimbatore-->Salem
Would be grateful to know the current road conditions for the route
Dindigul-->Coimbatore-->Salem. I may need to target this route in my Saddlesore attempt. Also any info on peak traffic hours, lanes,COCO bunks, bad patches etc would be of great help.

Hi All..Me and my friends are planning for a trip to Muzhappilangad beach (Kannur) on friday and then to bekal fort and bck to bangalore by sunday night. We are planning to start frm bangalore around 10pm Friday and reach mysore by 12am then halt in friends house and start early morning between 4-5am.
We have 2 routes one is through Madikeri & the other through Wayanad.
Can anybody suggest some good routes which is better scenic-wise?
Any idea about the road conditions?---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks for the info pal. I asked the locals, one of them suggested the following and I took the same. The roads were decent with 30kms of almost no roads near Kabini reservoir.Originally posted by christo View Postroad works are started. go back through thalassery-kannur-taliparamba-iritty(awesome road)-wayanadu. its kind of long but atleast the roads are better i think. don't take kannur/thalassery-iritty, road is bad from mattannur to iritty(15kms or so)
Thalaserry - Koothuparamba - Nedumpoil - Manandvady - Kabini and the forest - Mysore - Bangalore (total 348kms). This one is 20kms more than the Iritty - Gonikappal route but much better.
Just back from there. I would suggest through wayanad or else check the above route. Hunsur - Gonikappal - Virajpet - Iritty- Mattanur - Thalaserry (5 kms to Muzhappilangad beach) is in real bad condition. With a pillion it took 7 hours to cover 180 kms on my comet.Originally posted by susheelkumar View PostHi All..Me and my friends are planning for a trip to Muzhappilangad beach (Kannur) on friday and then to bekal fort and bck to bangalore by sunday night. I didn't go through SultanBathery hence don't know about it. You can take the route I posted previously. It is scenic as well as decent roads with rough patches in between. Also it'll be shorter by 30 Kms compared to SultanBathery route. Only problem is with a bad patch of approx 30kms in Kabini forest.Originally posted by susheelkumar View Postthanks for the info dude...we were also planning the same route like Hunsur - Gonikappal - Virajpet route...but if its bad then its tough...we dont have much time too...so wayanad route is ok?
Reverse the following route
Thalaserry - Koothuparamba - Nedumpoil - Manandvady - Kabini and the forest - Mysore - Bangalore
Total 348kms
