Re: Tyres other than MRF for FZ16
Sorry for replying on this old thread. I want to change my fazer's rear tyre. Kindly suggest me which tyre should I choose? Michelin pilot sporty or ceat zoom xl (dhoom)? Both tyre looks good and Michelin pilot sporty has got good reviews too? And from online forums I came to know that ceat dhoom tyre is more heavy? Will It affect bike performance? Thanx in advance.Only a bike rider knows why Dog sticks out his face out of car's window...

Re: Tyres other than MRF for FZ16
DO NOT go with Michelin Pilot Sporty, it has the worse wet grip. You dont even have to brake to start fishtailing, just give a good throttle and bikes goes left and right. Thats how bad they are in wet. But their dry grip is really good, they perform really well while off roading in dry conditions as per my experience.Originally posted by abhi_szr View PostSorry for replying on this old thread. I am currently on a set of Pilot Sporty, so thats my first hand experience.
I am looking to change too. I just cant find a proper review on any tyre.

I know about Pilot Sporty, as I am using them, they are terrible on wet.Originally posted by deville_56 View PostBoth tyres have terrible wet grip.
I am looking to change my tyre set as monsoons are here, I am looking for tyres with good all weather grip. Do you have any suggestion?

Re: Tyres other than MRF for FZ16
If you have budget, go for Michelin Pilot Street or Pirelli Sports Demon (5-5.4k). Else new version of stock MRF Revz is good, Revz-M or Y, don't remember exactly (Better than Sporty and ContiGO).Originally posted by rahlp View PostI know about Pilot Sporty, as I am using them, they are terrible on wet.

Michelin 110/70-17 is there. Works fine without speedo error or trouble handling. Pirelli is available in 100/80-17.Originally posted by rahlp View PostAs Michellin doest have 100-80 for front.#RetiredRider
