haha.. ya.. its always 'only'

as for the stocks, i am surprised that the fz tyres are not available.. i had to change mine couple of months back and i wanted the dukes setup.. but none of the MRF dealers had them in stock and one didn't even knew that such tyre existed in 150/60 so had to go with the stock tyres..

Yea most of them dealers aren't really having knowledge about the tyres.
Stock tyres aren't available since there's a strike going on in their plant, only some tyres are being supplied, most of them aren't !

I guess there would be 4 rear tyres arriving at my showroom in a couple of days. I had ordered for 20. But atleast something is better than nothing. These tyres would be gracing my showroom for the first time in 2013
last i received them was in Sept 2012

In my opinion stick to stock, since stock is not available you can go for Revz 150/60-17, that's the Duke's tyre.
Reason being both these are radials. The 150 even though on paper is wider than all available it takes the shape of the rim and rounds up, once on the bike it appears only as wide as a conventional 120/130 section tyre. Other important thing is the weight. The 150 is lighter than most 130/140 section tyres. I am using the Duke's tyre setup on my Ninja 250, it's excellent in grip, lasted about 16-17k kms.

Check out the fitment, both the bikes, the one on the left N250 and the one on the right N300 are on the Revz 150/60-17.

- The 140 section stock tyre will take time to hit the market again, the strike in MRF is still on (source: I am Mrf exclusive dealer myself)
- The 140/70-17 Zapper Q mentioned on the site is only tube-type
- There's a new 140/70-17 Revz S tyre launched ( basically the R15's design in bigger size) new CBR250's are coming with these, yet not received at the dealers for sale though

Any updates from the company about the availability, and i'll update you alongwith !
hello sir..!
if zapper Q was a tube type, then how about zapper S 140/70??
is that a higher profile one?.. i would like to change the stock to higher profile ones as it was worn out on "RIGHT SIDE ONLY" & got more punctures

P.S. - i'm expecting increase in mileage coz of higher profile

140/70-17 is not Zapper S, it's Revz S, difference being, Revz series is Radial.
I haven't noticed any increase in mileage !

That's what I have mentioned in the other Tyre thread in Universal threads, Do not rely on their site. IT shows some products which are non-existent, and some best selling ones are missing from the site. This is how MRF is, confusing ! The circular that we dealers got mentions it as Revz S 140/70-17 where as the site says Zapper S, so till the tyres hit the showrooms, there's no Clarity!

today i also found a new alternate or improved revz stock 140/60 as revz M launched jst few days before
this reduces wearing on edges with extra thick treads & rest were same as told by local sales person
my heart is refusing to go for it because i learnt a good lesson with stock and this also looks identical to it

My opinion would be either go with the new stock tyre that u found or go with the 150/60-r17 Revz, it has good grip and its not as puncture prone as the earlier revz, however, mind u, the tyres shape will be completely different than the stock. The stock sits wide, whereas this one rounds up, providing more grip on corners.

PS: None of the tyres will improve your mileage, but 140/70 Contigo and Dunlop might reduce it a bit, since both tyres are heavier in weight than the Revz series
