Hello Shamanth.. Vinay from Bangalore here.. Thinking of MICHELIN Pilot Street Radial 140/70 for my FAZER. I am not sure what to do. Whether to go with this or stay mum and buy the stock, although the immediate option is MRF 150/70.

Refer to this..? Call me 9480302317 and lets talk..? (findTyre - motorcycle.michelin.in)

Notice this on the webpage.. (Meant for mid-sized bikes 150 CC+ ( Yamaha FZ, Yamaha Fazer, Kawasaki Ninja 250 & Honda CBR 250),)

      Hi,

Michelin is new and haven't been reviewed extensively. If you have an experimental nature, you can go ahead and try it - I am assuming it to be better than Continental ContiGo. Nonetheless, if you want peace of mind, MRF Revz (stock) and Dunlop Tuffgrip have been reviewed positively in terms of the grip, durability, overall performance.

shamanthnv I got the review posted by Vinay on FB ....Have a look!!

Tyre: Michelin Pilot Street Radial 140/70--R17
Pros: Quite a few to mention.. 1) The Issue in the stand touching the roads is gone.. Wow..!! 2) You can tilt the bike more and more.. you will know when you try this with Michelin.. 3) M
ore Shock absorbent... 4) No need to spend a few 10s of kms to get accustomed... 5) Bike's Rear gets a small lift (though negligible) which will make the bike more premium look one..
Cons: Almost Nothing after 500 kms.
Other Comments: I prefer this anyday better than MRF Revz which constantly gave me a feeling of less air in it.. I recommend this to you if you are wanting to change from the stock.. Cheers to FAZERs/FZs and pics I will put up soon.. Thanks to Joel Joseph John for his honest comments and reviews (Answered a lot of queries from me where I kept on asking endlessly day and night into the week), without whose suggestions, I wudn made my mind to go ahead with this..

Did you had to remove rear mudguard to fit this Tyre or its still intact? Since i remember someone who fitted Dunlop of same size had to remove Rear Mudguard permanently.

                      Alternate Tyre options:

                      1) Michelin Pilot Street Radial: Tyre Profile: 140 -70-17. Cost is around 5 - 6k for the rear tyre. Will last around 13 - 15k kms max. Soft compound but very sticky. Will inspire confidence. Being radial will be as good as Pirelli Sports Demon

                      2) Michelin Pilot Sporty: 5.5k both front (100-80-17) and rear (140-70-17). Good grip but haven't got a long term ownership view from anyone.

                      3) Ceat Dhoom: 140-70-17 and costs around 3.2k for the rear tyre. Good grip and H rated tyre.

                      4) Ralco Blaster: 140-70-18 rear around 2.8k. No clue about the performance but it is a new tyre.

You may look for them at Grant road. Ask for anyone to direct you at Ali Bhai Premjis/ That shop is a bike and motorcycle accessories dealer. Metro tyre is the shop right next to it. A small shop. For Michelins, you may get in touch with any Michelin dealer for the same. I have no clue about Ralce and Ceat Dhoom. If the Metro tyres stocks them then you may get it. BTW Stock MRF rear tyre now comes with 140-70-17 profile now. So unless you are not happy with its performance nsd ownership, you should ideally stick to company recommended stock tires. If you want to try any one of these tyres then keep the front OEM stock MRF FX tyre and you may choose from any of these brands.

Michelin, I would say; haven't used it though.
Currently runnin' on the Continental shoes- -not impressive!

Hi..neel , buddy my personal experience has been very good with pirelli sports demon. I started enjoying the ride more when i replaced the stock tyre of my fz with it. So my vote goes to psd.
