    Has anyone tried idemitsu fully synthetic oil in your motorcycles? I am hearing good comments on that oil from local mechanics and price also seems lesser at Rs.425/ltr. Wanted to check from you guys as well regarding the experience if any.

    I guess the basic difference is that Motul comes from se Asia. And HP is made here isn't it? So maybe some difference in quality. Reviews seems to be pretty good though. Also HP price comes to 199 during sale or usually around 220. Haven't seen the 5100 price fluctuate.

    Kinematic viscosity of motul 5100, 10w 30 and hp 10w 30 oil is very similar at 100°c . Is hp oil more vfm than motul.
    Price of motul : 513rs

    Besides, I too am an automobile engr and have some experience in QA and application engineering(new product development) in an auto-parts company, that's part of the Minda group.

    Also, my current employment is in the field of lubricants albeit industrial. But still, I do understand what goes on into a lubricant. Though, since we're talking about retail products here so they usually don't share detailed info on them for end users.
    No offence taken. I wasn't defensive either. Was simply stating the facts and the history behind the vid. Very few are qualified enough like you. Hope you can shine some more light on the subject if deemed necessary.

    He's one of the best knowledgeable person in field of automobiles in india, many xbhpians know him. He's the SPORTZTOURER. His explanations are simple and to the point. He's the 1st person in india to install slipper clutch in a non slipper clutch variant of rtr 200.
