Has anyone Used daijya or rjays Apex helmets will love the Suggestion or any other brand in 5grand range
I've been using RJays Apex for about 7-8 months now. I don't like it for the fact that the visor fits tight in the centre but there's slight gap from the sides. So a decent amount of air gets in if your riding at 60+ kmph and it only increases with the speed. This forces me to ride with shades most of the time. Other issue is that it doesn't fit snugly on the ears (I have L size as M was too tight), so again if its cold outside and your speeding, ears starts paining within no time. This might be the case only with my helmet. Otherwise its a pretty solid helmet for the price. If you go for it make sure there's no gap and that visor fits properly and also that it fits snugly around your ears.

I got a Vega Formula HP recently and have this issue. I thought it will take some time to get used to or is there only in low priced helmets. How long has it been since you got yours? Mine is just 2 weeks old and I am getting more comfortable. The ear pain comes at times though.

Look at what I got my hands on to test!

Have been using this for the last few days, so I thought I'd share my first impressions -

                        PROS

                        - A very stylish helmet. I'm not really into the urban street/MX styling, but this is one good looker!
                        - Very well made. I initially had my reservations about this type of helmet and in fact initially thought the helmet was a little flimsy, until I realised that I had not put in the mouthpiece that came in the box. Once inserted properly, the helmet became rigid and confidence inspiring. Most MX style helmets are very lightweight, since they are used for low speed off-roading. Urban/Dual Sport helmets need to combine the qualities of the MX style along with the structural integrity requirements of a road helmet. The SS01 does this well.
                        - The peak is stable at even speeds upto 160kmph. The properly designed peak allows airflow without jerking the peak upwards.
                        - The visor seals well and like all SOL visors has excellent optical quality.
                        - The peak actually offers good shade to the riders face keeping him protected from the direct sun, an excellent feature in the city and while touring.
                        - The helmet uses a D-ring clasp.
                        - DOT certified quality.

                        CONS

                        - The narrow front shape of this style of helmet tapers to the front and as a result, the cheek-pads seem less plush . After being used to the thick and plush cheek-pads of the 68S and even SF01, the cheekpads felt relatively thin. I guess that this is the flipside of this kind of helmet.
                        - The visor mechanism while operating with a positive feel requires a lot of torque to open and close the visor. As a result the visor snaps open and closed rather vigorously. This is because the well-defined visor tab is located near to the pivot point.
                        - The peak though stable at high speed does get buffeted in heavy cross-winds. Nothing unmanageable or uncomfortable, but still noticeable.

                        SUMMARY

This is an good choice option of helmet for urban/street and even sport-touring. The peak was not even noticeable at speeds of upto 140+ on my 650r and the shade offered was a pleasant experience in the city and along the highway. For dedicated high speed or track use though, I would stick to my full-face 68s.

Expected to be available from mid-March. Retail price estimated at approx.Rs.3800/- onwards.

                                Sarab,

The prices are published on the company website and even printed on the helmet boxes to prevent any hanky-panky by resellers. The Rs.500/- is the charges of DTDC courier for airfreight to your doorstep.
