      • Can anyone tell me how I can check if the helmet is still good after a small drop?

My 1 month old helmet has been dropped twice from a height of around 3/4 feet.
Would it still provide adequate protection or does it have to be replaced.

Mine weighs in at 1315 gms in XL size with the leather covering - amazing for an ECE/DOT product! The weight distribution is also very good - you keep feeling that you're not wearing a helmet since the eye-port is so large and the helmet so light - totally unrestricted.

Yep! I like 'em too! Many of the N650R guys have it, including our local super-hero, Xinfii! Where is he by the way?

Technically you should - but many people would not. Considering it's your head and your money - the best judge would be you!

bang on!!! who doesnt love the monster decals man i liked them so much that once i got big size monster energy decals and put it on the fairings on ninja

I have wore HJC Dagger long time back owned by one of friends. Only thing I disliked was the movement of visor. It feels tight when you lift it up and it is not as comfortable as I expected. Having said that, it was a base model so how is it in your lid as it is for an higher range?
the visor movement is more or less the same what you have experience, but it didnt find it uncomfortable

Also noticed in your close up pics that it looks to be Matt finished (Looks neat) and are the Monster graphics actually stickers or is it painted? Just out of curiosity
it looks like a matt finish but it isnt exactly a matt one,its somewhere between matt and gloss black

            they arent stickers

There are lots of fakes around on LS2, Cross, MPA and Vega. One thing to notice is the finish. Just make sure you're satisfied with the quality of the product before you buy. If you haven't had any idea of buying a helmet, try getting help from an experienced guy who has some knowledge on helmets.

When buying a helmet, always check for the inner stuff, visor mechanism, fabric quality, stitch and check for any loose padding mechanism on the side. Most of the time, they are stuck with cheap and/or inadequate glue, whereby just remove the cheekpads once, the entire cheek pad with the side holders come off.

Cross are of decent make and quality, don't expect much out of that. It's the best poor-man's helmet, to put it wise.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

if it is equivalent to LS2, then good.

well, then... i am that poor man now. yesterday i purchased a cross helmet. actually i wanted a replacement of my existing helmet (old ninja flip-up) and i wanted to go for either Ninja 3G or Vega Boolean, both flip -up helmets with-in rs. 2000/=. unfortunately after doing servicing of my bike for whole day, i was too tired to search other places and yesterday being a sunday, i went straight to Champion Sports. unfortunately, they didn't had a ninja 3G or vega boolena in my size, even LS2 was not available in my size only Cross was available. i got it for rupees 2500/=.

I've never used it, one of my buddies use it, a white colored one. Regarding certification I've never seen a valid certification on any of the Cross helmets I've seen. I would place it well below LS2 for sure.

                              • I am using Cross and LS2 both currently, the LS2 which i got is quiet good and a bit on bulky size, the new ones are light weight but the inner pads and quality of outer shell is quiet weak, so be careful but LS2 visor is quiet good specially in pune city where 90% people keep high beam.

Cross is quiet rugged and light weight in quality and i got mine for 2700/- with the air pump feature and is quiet good in quality, got from authorised wholeseller of cross and ls2 authorised wholeseller near nanapeth. As this guy supplies LS2 and cross to all vendors in pune and mumbai so rates are a bit less than other dealers at mg road and other places.
