hello guys
i have gone through the thread
i am buying a helmet tomorrow so need your inputs
i am lookng for a decent helmet which is within 2.5k, i got to know that ls2 and cross are the only foreign brand helmets available in this range.
can you suggest me the model names of ls2 and cross which are available within 2.5k or any other brand like sol are available within this range
i am looking for a full face helmet with anti scratch visor, uv protection, less wind noise even at speed of 120kms
please suggest

But still let me answer your questions. SOL is upwards for 5k, nothing less than 5k in SOL. For your budget you can look at Cross, LS2 or Studds Scorpion or Studds RHYNO, both are excellent VFM helmets and have all that you ask for.

LS2 Pistonhead and LS2 Phobia are the hot sellers here in this community followed by Cross and SOL. LS2 Pistonhead and LS2 Phobia both should come close to 3k max. Some seller sell it at a premium close to 3.5 to 3.9, in that case you can bargain a little hard.

But for more info, you can always go back this thread.

Least Wind Noise

Hi All,

looking for a new helmet. Could anyone please tell me which one has the least wind noise in the <4k options that are available to us, have tried a couple of cross and ls2 ones, didnt see much difference in wind noise when compared to ninja rhyno and vega boolean that I used previously. You obviously asked and answered your question. At that price, don't expect MotoGP performance out of any helmets, and any helmets, even GP helmets do have wind noise associated with it. Wear the one which you comfortable with the wind noise.

Thats too bad, LS2 I would say is very irritating at triple digits, are SOL helmets any better?

SOL is not super good, but yes I guess. I've work the metal man series, and rode it 80 KMPH, I can hear some whistling on the top of my head, and yes I guess wind noise is not much or less than LS2. At least from the LS2 I've worn, the Phobia.

As I previously said, almost all helmets do have some noise component to it, you can't wipe them out altogether.
