SOL helmets and GMAX helmets are both made by Anyng Industrial Co in Taiwan. In USA and Canada the helmet is sold under
the name GMAX, for rest of the world they use the name SOL. According to the company website SOL helmets
are sold in China, Russia, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Korea, Costa Rica, Chile, Honduras, Uruguay etc.

This helmet and another helmet called Piston Head are more or less identical. If you can go for that, then go for Piston Head.

I have no idea whether these helmets are avaialble, but if you can find some old stocks and like them, perhaps that is for you. But I don't know anyone that stocks this. Perhaps others those who've seen it can help though!

Thats an Old design.

If you dont want cops attention but still want it to look good, get a white helmet and get some stickers for it, by stickers I mean brand logos not skull or anything like that.

A visor for my GP 500 costed 4200 bucks when I asked Bachoo folks, so I just refrained from purchasing one, darn that's equivalent to a SOL mid range helmet. But that's the same case if you even source it overseas.

Sad part of buying an AIROH. All the hoopla ends, just in marketing.

Vijay, you can try giving Auto Queen a call, they stock airoh helmets, it's a safe bet that thye have the visors too, maybe you can get at a much lower price. 4500 for a visor seems too much, but i'm not here to judge. So i think you can give it a try.

I wear a SOL Metal Man helmet with android-skull grahics and pass right in front of couple of three cops almost every other day
as they stand around by their patrol vehicle in the corner of Hwy 47 and HMT road. Never once have they stopped me for anything.
Like Prateek before me said as long as you have the 'papers' with you and not violating any traffic laws, no need to fear them.

For the most part, cops don't stop anyone wearing a fancy helmet or for that matter. But they do stop some people, as one good friend of mine in Chennai, who was stopped specifically for wearing his jackets, helmets, gloves etc. The first question he was asked is WERE YOU RACING?

Indian cops, at least by the look of it, ingrained in them, if they see something fancy, revy, out of the box, they have a premeditated notion, that he's either racing or showoff, the former for the most part.

If you happen to stopped by a cop. Talk politely, if you can explain what you're wearing, why you're wearing, by the time you finish he'll already be pointing his hands in a direction which lets you know"Please, you may go now" Happened to me too, well not literally but yes, you can call it literally.

But who cares, it's our safety that's prime. If cops stop, people think you're an odd ball, remember. It's your ass in the line, nobody else's.

I need a Helmet around 10k which I will be using only for touring purposes.
I have a Yohe snell, DOT rated helmet for city riding.
any suggestions are appreciated.
