Regarding getting used to the Double D-ring type mechanism, you can check out many videos on YouTube where they show on how to properly fasten a helmet with Double D-ring mechanism.
I went to moto 101, biking spirit, orion motors and 6k isles of mann. I tried out sizes of all models in person first, but none had stock of any of the models I wanted(geo 4 or limited evo) so had to either wait a month-45 days for it or order this one from SPG.

Can anyone tell which will be the best helmet under 4000 Rs.(Can be +/-) and a glove @1000 Rs. I am using Royal Enfield Classic 350. I will use to go for Long Drive often and Night Drive too.

Suggest me a good helmet and the place where i can buy a genuine product in Chennai.
Try SMK helmets, they are sold in India by STUDDS and are very well build. U can also go for LS2 a bit costlier though.
SMK would cost u about Rs.4300, it has dual visor, anti fog, bluetooth compatible and very comfy.

      • Online Helmet Store which offers COD

        Hi guys,
I'm planning on getting a helmet and was a bit sceptical about paying via credit/debit card(after reading some reviews). I was looking for a online store which offers "Cash On Delivery".
I like a Kranos Helmet on SPG but as they weren't offering COD so I had to pass...

Could you guys recommend a store

        Thanks

PS my budget is 4k and I ride a Karizma ZMR if it helps

Why is that a question? You dont get a "colored" visor, you get "tinted" visors. It doesnt matter what color the tint is from the outside, the view from inside will be the same. First of all check whether your Helmet model has tinted visors available.

SPG online store is authentic. So if you want to buy their product online, its safe to do it via Credit card. I know because I have purchased it from there. Otherwise go to a helmet store and pay by cash for your helmet. Its a good habit to buy a helmet after you try it so go to a Biking gear store and try out the helmet first.

thanks for the response, i think i confused with the word 'color'. so let me explain, i have a MT AXISS helemt with both clear and smoked visor. i only use it for day riding, i cant use it post 6PM on hyderabad roads, you know it better you are from here i guess. so i want to buy an 'yellow' tint or 'orange' bubble shield for my open face helmet. so is yellow/red/orange/gradient colored visors suited for night riding?

from inside not all the tinted visors are same, smoke has a different level of light filtering and chrome/iridium/coated visors allow/pass light differently. i am not all technical here with optics and stuff, but in simpler terms, i should be able to ride post 6PM on poor lit roads with headlights on without opening my visor!

i hope i made little sense this time. please suggest. thankyou!

Why not a simple clear visor?

How do clear visor + riding glasses sound?

Lol there's nothing you can do here, if you don't mind the scratches keep it for a while, if you do you would have to buy a new visor. Its 850 for a new one on SPG

I've been swapping with chrome visor and clear visor according to day / night / my need form last 3 years and trust me (others will agree too) nothing beats a clear visor in night.

Clear visor is like your naked eyes on road with a benefit of no dust & air hitting them.

Not all roads in Hyderabad have proper lights, so in a dark lane where you only have your headlights, a clear visor is like a blessing.
I always felt so good when I was riding in pitch dark (be it Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi or any other place) because the clear visor these brands make are super clear. When it's new, sometimes you won't even feel that there's a layer of a plastic few inches away from your eyes.

Why you want to replace D-rings? IMO I would prefer D-rings over quick release because of safety.

AFAIK, they are not plug and play units and come attached with the lid.
Though you can carry a jugaad job at home or at any tailor shop.

P.S - not adviced even if plug and play. D ring straps are safer.

Looking to replace the D rings just for convenience. Takes up quite some time to strap it on an off and gets frustrating for daily use, where helmets are worn and taken off multiple times. Been using this only for trips and rides where I have to hardly take it off. Looking to make this my daily driver.
Have another one with a quick release, which I'm trying to replace as it has been around for 5 years. Haven't had any issues with the strap. Always felt locked in neat and tight.
