[MENTION=34365]DeVille[/MENTION] , I have never tried meguiars on any leather apparel, but my dad uses it for his stanley car seats and they work like a charm, I have heard many people complain about the residue in pores, the work around this lies in the medium used for the cleaning. My dad used to apply meguiar on a sheep skin leather cloth (easily available at reliance automarts or other automotive stores) and then do the rubbing process. Never had any issues this way and the result was always brilliant.

On the verge of placing order for Icarus, but have a few questions to those who have it.

The height of this one is said to be shorter than Helios and other Jackets. How short is it? I don't wear my trousers/jeans very low, but just at the start of the hip bone. Will this Jacket be okay.

Planning to get the winter liner instead of the rain liner. Will the winter liner give some protection against wind considering it's a mesh jacket. Don't want the rain liner as don't ride in monsoon unless unavoidable, but have a 4 wheeler for that.

How good are the Scoyco K10 knee protectors? Has anyone used them here? I have been hunting for a good knee protectors since some time. Didn't like any of Cramster, Axo, or fox. I saw these Scoyco K10 knee protectors here in Hyderabad and tried them. They appear lightweight and comfortable. Any reviews?

Though I have not used k10 knee guard, but I have an opinion about Scoyco ........... they come at the cheaper end of the price segment (at times) but they are very very rugged and long lasting product. Yesterday when I was at Karol Bagh I did see one Scoyco Knee G but didn't enquired the shop guy about it.

I never had any such problem. It is a little short in front (a slight longer than your waist belt line) than the back (which extends till the hip in sitting position). I guess this is ergonomically conscious design.

It is a blended one so I think it will help you keep cool in summers and will work good in moderate (if not chill) winters

Thanks a lot mate. Sas Tek armour will come for around 2.5k. I'll have to buy Icarus and get this. Budget is max 7k for Jacket.
Also need to buy gloves and knee pads and after at looking your purchases ,Im gonna settle with Perseus & Ares .

I have been reading almost all posts on jackets yet am none the wiser. I need a jacket that is a bit of a contradiction in terms. Very airy but armoured!

Presently, I have a SCOYCO JK17. Solid piece of gear, wore it to Leh. It is so warm that even on K'La, in June, I did not need the inner thermal liner. Lots of vents, pockets, worth the Rs 6800 I paid Baljeet Kochhar for it.

And then, the flip side is that I literally BAKE when I wear it for long rides; a cannibal would be drooling with the delicious aroma of freshly cooking human meat. I have major heat management problems, perspire more than the average guy and in general, have a pitta kind of disposition. So I keep the front zipper open by more than 3/4 of the way, open all vents wear a light cotton shirt underneath etc yet suffer so badly that I am contemplating NOT wearing it at all on long rides. The safety angle inhibits such thought turning to action but I have to now take a call. Just the thought of wearing it fills me with dread - God, once again, the sweating WHILE I am wearing it....

Any suggestions towards a suitable replacement would be welcome BUT only from actual owners please.

It's quite simple, apart from the pitta formation stuff, works of almighty, it's inevitable almost most sweat in a textile jacket. Black stuff almost absorbs heat almost as effectively as it radiates out, and that's the problem. Pure mesh, be it any jacket provides ample air flow, and the one I loved was RJays Octane, bloody superb ventilation almost a perfect all rounder jacket, served me for years well. And now the Octane is a tad refreshed and upped the ante, and so does the price, quite sadly. But the old was was just an excellent stuff when it comes to ventilation and the liner complemented it perfectly.

The HELIOS more or less falls in the same category with added features like key chain holder, removable neoprene whereas all others have a standard stitched neoprene etc, and microfiber pocket for fragile components it's really a deal breaker in most aspects. But it is a really fantastic replacement for beginner range Rjays Octane which when I bought was 7999 and now 8999 and the newly refreshed Rjays Octane II is a real looker and offered at the same price of 8999.
While the Octane was 80% mesh the newer Octane II one is 50-50 and it's a real looker .

A balaclava is almost all-season providing heat in winters and helping to perspiring the perspirate on summer days. Spartan Balaclava is good.

One year ownership review of Rjays Sprint Boots...



Have used them for 8000km (and yeah that's how much I rode in a year... Put me in jail for that :P )



Have been using them for every day riding. I am not into touring, but have done short rides of around 200km.
The thing about these boots are they can be worn to office, college, coaching, even parties without making you uncomfortable. They are comfortable for walking, never had an issue.



Build quality as what you can expect at the price point.



Only issue I've got is the flap on the laces got Velcro which could have been micro-velcro because the laces are getting/got damaged by getting stuck in the Velcro.
Its water 'resistant' only. Don't expect wonders, water does make its way in.

Its got reflective panels at the rear of the boot to make you more visible [MENTION=6010]Night[/MENTION] ride.



All in all a great buy.

Looks good does not mention if it is steel toed i am guessing it is not. The thing we should know is that these shoes are for construction areas and although they will provide certain safety they are not designed to handle motorcycle injuries like impact to ankles etc as these do not come with reinforcement of protection for those areas. If you are looking for slightly waterproof boots these are a great buy at this price.

I feel that they provide some what good protection when compared to a normal shoe ! and regarding the steel toe ( scroll down bro its mentioned there )

Dynamic Ryders in Hyd are selling military boots for 950/- but dont know how the quality would be.
